saw a black amethyst vase with diamond pattern go for 7 dollars tonight, it was a good piece of glass.
Bought a double pully block and tackle with heavy hook, a couple of meat hooks, a steel cream container, an overhead oiler for hit an miss engine, a painted metal sign on stand (Canada Dry), a couple of motorcycle plates, and a ice scale.
Could have had some early teens brass gas head lights for a automobile but the reserve was to high.
I love auctions, but I go there smart knowing what I'm willing to spend within margin, and never get into a bidding war.
I like to take pictures! I'm not a photographer or anything but, I love taking pics when I'm riding on the back of a bike! I'm also into pics of Sunrises and Sunsets ... especially when there are a lot of clouds around to enhance the colors!
I also write poety now and then but, it seems to be at a time when things are getting pretty "heavy" in my life and my heart. I have some poems from when I was 17! I have NO clue how I kept them but, it looks like I was pretty confused about love then too! lmao!
W o W ! so many of you into glass. Another thing to look for is modern art glass, or hand blown glass, becoming quite popular and expensive.
Went garage saling today, 33 sales, I filled the truck bed and behind the seat with amazing antiques and collectibles.
Best purchases were a childs school desk and chair late 19th century made in Boston. Also found a carved wood bowl 22 inches in diameter. Didn't find any used vaseline, but hopeful I will run across some at tonights antique auction.
Will fill you in later!
oh I forgot.

LOL on the vaseline jars! I've got a thing for candlewick & no guys, it isn't what's left over when the candle burns out! I also collect Tom Clarke figurines. They are so adorable & he's getting up there in years, so will be worth $ soon. I also have the full collection of Bailey's cups, cookie jars & teapot. I have the original Staffordshire ones that the cups were modeled from.
i have an old two family that i am fixing up myself...do most of the work myself....have no clue what i am doing, but by trial and era, and alot of jd weld and glue guns, i have fixed everything from plumbing to new celings (new celing due to the fact i hadn't found hd weld to fix the upstairs plumming yet), laid some cement last fall, and it survived the winter so i guess it worked...now i am starting to finish the scraping and painting outside...i need to do the high parts now...hey listen, if anyone is not afraid of heights---i will supply the beer and pizza....lol....., and of course i collect betty boop and mannies
AJA and SLB.....
I do know what you're talking about. My passion is Spode and
Cranberry glass. Oh, Blue Willow too. Up here vas. glass is so hard to come by.
And talk about deals on Ebay!!
No middle man and I like it that way. Gotta know who your are dealing with though.
My other passion is Hummels and mohair bears and I had to stop stamp collecting. No more room and climate control
was an issue.
