A favorite song(s) is associated with a piece of time or memory in ones life good or bad. Could be you just like the tune for what it is.
Mine would have to be Green Grass & High Tides by the Outlaws representing freedom, a time with no worries & stress, no responsibilities, and good times and friends.

Rod Stewarts "Have I Told You Lately That I Love You" it just wrenches at my heart with the feeling he puts into this song, Cross Canadian Ragweed "On A Cloud" one that will be played at my funeral, and one alot have never heard but should by Art Stevenson and Highwater " If I Were The Wind".

Crazee if you think Rod Stewart cover of Van Morrison is good you should hear Van. Avalon Sunset is the record/cd.

"When Heart is Open" One of my personal favorites

Garth Brooks The Dance Thinking back ON the losses I have experienced in my short time on the planet this song really hits the nail on the head I've lost some very important people in my life, My mom dad and youngest son but for the time I had them I am very thankful they were in my life.

Looking back on the memory of
The dance we shared 'neath the stars above
For a moment all the world was right
How could I have known that you'd ever say goodbye

And now I'm glad I didn't know
The way it all would end, the way it all would go
Our lives are better left to chance
I could have missed the pain
But I'd have had to miss the dance

Holding you, I held everything
For a moment wasn't I a king
But if I'd only known how the king would fall
Hey who's to say? you know I might have changed it all

And now I'm glad I didn't know
The way it all would end the way it all would go
Our lives are better left to chance
I could have missed the pain
But I'd have had to miss the dance

Yes my life, its better left to chance
I could have missed the pain
But I'd have had to miss the dance

If you've never heard Marc Broussard's "Home," it will quickly make it's way into your very soul and have you up dancing. He is the next Johnny Lang of R&B. Very good tune!

Good song Rescue. Me and Rac were talkin about it in another thread lol...

Now this is a tough one......

Lemme think.....Today, I guess it'd be...... and for no particular reason - just cause I love the song and it's been in my head for a coupla days -
so don't go readin into the lyrics and spreadin silly rumors lol....

"Just one more mornin'
I had to wake up with the blues
Pulled myself outta bed, yeah
Put on my walkin' shoes,
Went up on the mountain,
To see what I could see,
The whole world was fallin',
right down in front of me.

'Cause I'm hung up on dreams I'll never see, yeah Baby.
Ahh help me baby, or this will surely be the end of me, yeah.

Pull myself together, put on a new face,
Climb down off the hilltop, baby,
Get back in the race.

Pull myself together, put on a new face,
Climb down off the hilltop, baby,
Get back in the race."

I love the Allman's version, (Gregg wrote it), but I really love hearin Warren Haynes singin it....

Oh.... it's called "Dreams".... and it's real laid back and bluesy.... which is always a good thing.....

Suz I also love the Molly Hatchet version. I'm with you great song

I've done some checking on the parent company and their other match sites.
Well over 30 other match sites.. WE may be the largest with paying members, I didnt have time to check them all but here are the likes of em.. Tallfriends, Ebonyfriends, Nudistfriends, Gothicmatch, Interracialmatch, Militaryfriends, Millionairematch, collegeromances, sportsfriends, deafs, greekcupid, positivesingles, singleparentmatch, catholiccupid, muslimtime, muslimfriends,.. ect.... Their adding more also.. Just havent as of yet...

Take your pick, many for all races, religions-faiths, tastes, afflictions, ages, status..

Some may be of help for their members to hear and chat with others of same interest... As BK has been for many here including me!...

I wont go into detail but just to say the last two are full of hate towards my country, my beliefs and my values.. I wont be contributing to their hate of me and my country.. Bk is a cash cow which is supporting all the free members there and Im upset that as a paying member Here I have contributed to it also.. NO MORE for ME... Check em out yourselves, Religious threads especially.. They dont want peace just our destruction!..
Thats all I ask.. For me Its enough to end things here! Was Stabbed in my back for all Ive put in here (2-yrs now)..

No more money from me...
Will be off to (BAO) USA.. (bike american onl*ine)

Peace & Ride Safe...

Yep, filled my head with those folks a time or two.

I think music, like any of the arts, is like a buffet. Just what you decide to put on your plate on any given day depends upon your mood at the time. I see bumper stickers from time to time indicating that some folks have niched themselves into just one style of music. I just couldn't do that without going nuts! LOL

My favorite song is "Born to be wild" from Puhdys...Great song...And it always reminds me of one guy(biker) who died two months ago. This was the most played song on his funeral.

That is pretty nice that his friends were thoughtful enough to play something they new "he" would have liked as apposed to the normal funeral music.

In my case my music collection is such a representation of schizophrenia it would be hard to pick out "just one" tune that I really liked. I love the Eagles, as much as Lead Zepline, Dave Koz, BB King, or Motzart. It all depends on my mood at the time.
