Okay everyone I think I have the hang of this so I thought this might be a topic close to all our hearts.
Your off on a road trip. One night away, round trip 900 kms. Other than your bike (Fueled and serviced), your stand up cloths.................what do you just love to take with you????
falcon335 write: Since I have a hitch on the Chief and have a trailer, I can pack all that catchme and seeme need, including tiedowns for the dog kennel. Plenty of room. One day I might even buy one of the pop-out tent trailers for the bike.
Hey there Falcon, we have a pop up, Tom pulls w/ his bike. It opens up to a queen size bed, w/ 3ft standing room when you walk in, 600lb max load, I don't know the cubic ft, but it holds, our chairs, grills, food cooler ect, ect...And if it rains, takes 3 min, to set up. Another cool thing, because we're 3 ft off the ground, we get air, feels ooh so good. Not like a tent. Although it is canvas, but w/ plenty of screens. And in between the hitch and the pop up, we have another spot to put the "beer, juice, water" cooler. One screen, (if you're feeling lazy/hung over you can open it up, reach the cooler (beer, water, juice) and not even have to leave the bed. It rocks.
Here is a pic for now, I'll try and find others another time.

AH I see, you are not a practical woman??? Because as a man I think it's practical to take a woman on the ride!!!! but aside from that, a useful tool kit, a small flashlight, and a flask!
I ask him how much room I have or take a back pack.I can roll up a weeks worth of clothes in backpack plus my women products....so if no bags on bike I at least know ill have clean clothes.Oh yea and don't forget the chap stick.
Duct Tape; bail money, old out dated maps; one pair clean underwear (just in case you are in an accident... remember Mom); one change of clothes; toothbrush; small bottle of JD; sun glasses... and more duct tape.
i like to take the essentials tooth brush and paste toilet paper change of clothes ahammock to sleep in its more comfortable than the ground i like to get a motion senitive camera to see what critters visit in the night you know they do
WhiskeyRich write: Maps? No darling, I ain't packin no map. If that curvy road to left looks good to you then we're gonna go see where it goes. Don't a map to spoil the surprise. As far as other things, I like to keep it light, sleep bag, flashlight, babywipes, most of the small stuff ya'll have said. I always pack a bottle of Jack too, it's almost a ritual, not for the road mind you, but for the relaxin at the end of the ridin day.
Well, as long as you have Jack, I can see why we don't need to find our way home! However, I prefer the Captain for relaxin'.
Well darlin, we'll just have to pack along some Capt along with the Jack so we can both relax and have a hoot at the end of the ridin day!! Hope we get the chance one day.
Peace Sister, ride safe.
