A motorcyclist was seriously injured Saturday when the driver of a four-door vehicle ran a stop sign and plowed into his bike, police said.
The car's driver, Cicely Gardner, 33 was cited for failing to stop at a stop sign and for having a suspended license, police said. The car was traveling southbound in the 6300 block of South Kimbark Avenue and the motorcyclist was eastbound on 63rd Street when they crashed about 2 p.m., said Chicago Police Officer Eugene Mullins.
The 38-year-old motorcycle driver was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital and was in serious condition late Saturday night, police said.
