I've noticed that there are quite a few aviation related names here on BK. I got my private ticket ( VFR ) back in '90 but then stopped flying for 11 years. I recently started flying again and will be signed off soon. Doing a X country to Lancaster, PA this weekend and that be enough to get me signed off. Right now, I'm flying out of GAI but may switch to FDK.
oh yeah, and used to walk out of the back / sides of a variety of military aircraft... 34 jumps... hoo-ah!
(Drum roll) Why would anyone jump out of a perfectly good airplane?
Like we all haven't heard that before.
so, it's like this... I'm thinkin' anyone who would ask that question has never been in a military aircraft... they are NOT perfectly GOOD airplanes.. they are manufactured by the lowest bidder... if you've ever flown in one, you might think it is better to jump out than land in it!
Yes, that pic was taken at DelMarVa Bike Week in 2004 - 12,000 feet above Ocean City. It was so clear that day, we could make out the Jersey shore line. It was a lot of fun - I was still flying that night at the Salty Dog!

I see them almost everyday out there during the summer. very cool pic!I would like to try it sometime but I'm kinda scared of heights, but then again I guess jumping would cure that!I've flown in a private plane and a sea plane.also very neat to see so many of you into flying !!!

I fly a Six Shooter Powered Parachute from my flight field at my home. Use my garage as a hanger and have a basic flight instructor certificate. Great for arial photos.
