I think first dates can be a little awkward at first. I prefer to meet in a public place, with a lot of activity is going on. Nothing to loud where you cant here what the other person is saying. Maybe a boat show on the water, or intimate concert at a winery with finger food to share. Or maybe a day hike with other people that you may or may not know.
