I am not the best, just try to be my best. Some want to ctitisize me about trying to be a christian, at least I try I fall and ask God to forgive me but I try can you say the same. The Greatest Thing ?Now these three remain: faith, hope, and love. But the greatest of these is love? (I Corinthians 13:13 NIV). Spiritual maturity isn?t measured by how long you?ve been a Christian, or how much you know, or how often you go to church. Spiritual maturity is measured by the way you treat other people. It?s measured by the love you allow to operate in you. Corinthians tells us that one characteristic of love is that it is not rude. That means, when we are walking in love, we treat other people with courtesy and respect. Are you courteous to other people? Are you kind to the person at the check-out counter that may be moving too slowly for you? Are you gentle when you are driving down the highway and someone cuts you off? Are you patient with your family and coworkers? These are all characteristics of love. The Bible tells us that love is patient. It is kind. It does not envy; it is not proud. It is not rude. Love is not easily angered, and it keeps no record of wrong. Love never fails. Notice that these characteristics don?t have anything to do with feelings. Love is a choice. You can choose to walk in love toward people even when you don?t feel like it! Make the choice to do what is right. Choose today to show kindness and be courteous to others. Look for ways to cultivate the greatest thing in your life?love! As you do, you?ll move forward into the life of blessing God has in store for you. A Prayer for Today Heavenly Father, thank You for working in my life. Thank You for loving me so that I can show love to those around me. Keep me close to You, and help me be an instrument of love to those around me. In Jesus? Name. Amen.

People will always be "hypocritical" because no one is consistent and you feel what you feel. i can think peace and love one day then want to rip off the head of another driver another day. i have had a good day today, so everyone is safe. I didn't read the Bible til I was 25.I thought the christians were so awful that I reckoned that God couldn't have anything to do with them. Read most other things though. then got gangbanged by a couple of pain-in-the-a$$ born-agains at college who would not leave me alone. So I decided I would sit down and read the thing. and I found a lot of things no one ever meantions. Read all the commentaries so I am well armed for an argeument. Which i thoroughly enjoy. (TeHe) My personal faith comes from my personal experience. and I am willing to put it down to too many cheese sandwiches late at night and coincidence. But i like reading other people's experiences too even those of other religions and occult. So well versed and well read. I give respect that people have experienced similar experiences throughout the world and interpret it differently. I have had a "outerbody experience" which like many gave a great sense of peace and calm and hope. But once back on planet earth I am not one for sitting in my ashram waiting for Valhalla. i want to do something about the crap around me. I suspend all "certainty" until I know otherwise - then I'll be dead. and I accept that "prayer" may be a personal energy like "Chi" which may affect things. Studies on prayer shows that it works whether the person knows they are being prayed for or not. It also showed that there was no difference in whether the prayer was said by Muslim, Hindu, christian or projected force like New Agers. I find everything fascinating. But I have been very close to the edge and all I can say is that I was definitely heard and i owe someone big time. But the west is built on humanitarian reasoning. That i...

No Junie I have never read the bible or have any intention to read the bible..I do NOT believe in God, and will not get into a religous argument with you or anyone for that matter. You believe what you believe in and I will believe what I believe in. But I do believe your life should be lived by what you believe in, and not be one way one day and another way another day..thats what I meant by being hypocritcal.

HDCouple4U2NV If I read HDsweets message, I can see that she did not necessarily intend for her comment to indicate that you are hypocritical, obviously it came across that way. But look carefully at how you responded...was that of love?. You took it that it was a challenge to your beliefs...get used to your beliefs being challenged. Love is hard, especially to someone you dont care for or know....love means acceptance of others even if they persecute you...ala what happened to Jesus...Lord forgive them for they know not what they do...everyday, we have a choice, to accept what happens to us in love, or fight it with a kneejerk reaction, its our choice. You're starting in the right place with bearing Christian arms...the lessons are hard and humbling. Keep learning and reminding us by being willing to humble yourself...I aint ready yet...I started there...and now and wondering the carnage of sin trying to find my way back, only to find, I'm already there and just have to choose and as Steven Covey says....every moment is a choice...and opportunity to exercise Integrity in the moment of choice is what we have available...we know right from wrong, love from hate, we just have to choose the right response.

Ah good. Then you join the great multitude of hypocrites, unclean, horrible, and weird and wonky people God chose be his heros throughout the Bible and throughout history. Pimps, liars, murderers, adulterers, weak, cowards, prostitutes, drunkards, gangsters, drug dealers, malicious, vindictive, petty etc etc. In fact, St Paul boasted about his failings and faults. To give God the shine not himself.and that he was saved by Grace, not works. No matter what you do you will always have days when you slip down again and the world and its worries will turn you into a flaying mess again. The point is to get back up again, dust yourself off and start again. Christians not being Christians because they fell off? Is that the same as a Biker not being a biker because they fell off. In both cases you get back up and on the thing you want to believe in even if it throws you off again after a few miles because you are a crap driver or circumstances pushed you off. Lets cut some slack, not one person on this site is perfect. Forgiving - Healing - Restoring. No one got murdered, and no small children or animals got hurt. So lets move on. Junie
