Original post date: 09/05/07 By John Bruhns Former US Army Infantry Sergeant "I served in Baghdad as an army sergeant for the first year of the war. Within my first days there, I realized that so much of what I had been told?about weapons of mass destruction, connections to 9/11?was just White House spin to sell the war. I'm seeing the same thing all over again now. Even with this being the bloodiest summer for US troops in Iraq, even with Iraqi casualties running at twice the pace of last year, and even with 15 of 18 of President Bush's own benchmarks unmet, the White House is at it again. They're telling us that black is white, up is down, and things in Iraq are going just great thanks to the troop "surge." This month Congress is going to vote on war policy for the next year?and Bush is hoping all this "progress" talk will scare Congress away from voting for withdrawal. We can't let that happen. Almost 4,000 US troops have died. We've spent half a trillion dollars in Iraq. Every day you turn on the news and more people are killed. We need Congress to stand up and fight to bring our troops home this fall. I need your help to make sure that happens. Can you sign this petition demanding that Congress begin a fully funded redeployment and start bringing our troops home from Iraq immediately? I'll deliver your comments to Congress myself next week. Clicking below will add your name: (Google it) I left Iraq on February 27, 2004 and from what I hear from my friends who are still there?many on their third or fourth deployments?it's worse now than ever before. The "surge" was a failure and it's time to draw down our troops. This president can't be trusted, his policy is reckless and it's more and more dangerous every day." Another crazy Peace-nik?

No TTT, The 30% of Americans that still support the Shrub and this illegal invasion and occupation. I would estimate that is about 80% of the BK members. Sad very sad. Is pointing out reality being cruel? I believe dieing for lies is the cruel thing. I also don't make anyone read this blog. I utilize this space to post facts and information. If people want to live a lie that is their choice. I don't see the logic in allowing more US GIs to die for war profiteers, stealing Iraqi oil, and a lost caused. Perhaps you see it differently. I'm amazed you really don't remember things I previously posted or can connect the dots of logic. It seems you just type without thinking about prior underlying points or logic. You are correct about one thing TTT. I'm tried of all the negative BS people reply back to me. So, I will not give them the pleasure of my response. If people wish to reply back with questions, point of facts, or real discussion I will reply back. Otherwise don't expect a response.

CinnamonGirlOH write: Blah Blah Blah.. So much for name calling eh? Let's see according to Cinnamon I'm a traitor, and Commie. I see, because I question the validity of the occupation or perhaps because I don't believe in the mission of stealing Iraqi Oil I'm a Traitor and Commie. Great logic there. I assume you were too busy to have watched 60 minutes last Sunday. Yeah, who stated the Iraq invasion was all about oil? Let's see where are Saddam's WMDs? Where are the drones that could reach the East Coast of the US? I bet Cinnamon buys into the lie of freedom on the march. Hey Cinnamon, do you think the seven sgt oh.. five now - as one is brain dead and one is dead - are traitors too [because they wrote a letter pointing out the cluster f in Iraq]? Using your logic I bet you do. Since it appears you are too brain damaged to independently think for yourself and you will believe any pro-invasion, pro-occupation BS, without looking at the facts, I conclude that you are beyond hope and I will longer waste my time responsing to you. Have a wonderful life. Bye Bye

30% of the people on BK that don't agree with him?? Did he take a poll??? I would like to see the results. I doubt 70% agree with him. And once again, for the umpteenth time Justy, you are being very cruel. Have a trifle bit of compassion for the people who have family over there. Who have lost family and friends there. And how is your ranting and raving going to help them? That is purely delusional. Bush is going to be out of office soon...Iraq will still be happening and you will still be sitting behind a computer copying reams and reams of whatever it is you dig up and that helps who? How? Justy, why are you on a dating site?????????? Is it that you are such an attentions seeker? Negative attention is better than no attention?

Hmm.I just re read Justy's reply to me and I am a bit concerned... he states that he blogs here trying to get the remaining 30 percent of people who don't agree with him to convert to his way of thinking.. Isn't that what dictators and communists try to do? Repeatedly posting propaganda to coerce all people to their views, while denying individuals the rights to their own point of view based on their own experinces and thoughts? BKers meet Justy Huessin Bin Laden.

Thank you RK,that's the entire point here.I have about 20 family members in the Armed Forces and many have been over there and served several tours. Some agree with Bush and the war. Some detest Bush and don't agree with the war. the common denominator is that when they signed up,they took an oath, and they are honoring that oath. CWsthunder and I went on a "Never Forget" run Sunday that was to raise money for a lcoal soldier that has been MIA since near the beginning of the war. They an Army color guard at the ceremony. AS I watched the 20 something yo Sgt. give his speech,he wiped tears from his eyes and stated about when he signed up,"I took an oath to serve, and I knew the day would come when I would be asked to honor that oath.." I had a great idea, but we couldn't find any cardboard at the time.I was going to have each soldier hold up a piece of cardboard and spell out "FUCK YOU JUSTY"...and post the picture here..hell there's always the next time! I suggest Justy look up the word TRAITOR instead of hypocrite. You know, in colonial times he could have been shot for his unpatriotic treatment of soldiers. But then again, he would have been one of the ones who hired or sent a slave to go to war for him instead, when called to serve by the local militia or Colonial troops.

Very typical, can you recon a hypocrite? I can, and all I need to do is view the logic of the last of the Bush supporters and war monglers. I blog on this site because the majority of people on here are the last 30 percenters and there just might be a few [I hope] that might be smart enough to realize the truth if they read it. My blog entry, the one I pointed you to, "The War As We Saw It" was not written by me. It was written by 7 Sgts of the 82th. Last week one of the Sgt died in Iran. If you read the Blog you would have learned that one of the Sgt took an enemy bullet to his skull. Two down so far. All the facts and information I present on my blogs are citied by date, original source of posting, and author. You are feel to live your lie and bury the truth, but you ain't helping the boots in Iraq or Iraqis by doing so. I also included a definition of a hypocrite just for you: Hypocrite - a person who pretends to have virtues, moral or religious beliefs, principles, etc., that he or she does not actually possess, esp. a person whose actions belie stated beliefs.

Justy, I won't stoop down to your level of insulting and name calling. What do you not understand about the military? There is no current draft. Every man or woman who voluntarily joins the military does so with the knowledge that they may be asked to fight and to also fight no matter what their personal view is. That is their JOB...it is not a whim, it is their vocation. I support the people who choose to voluntarily serve our country and I have had many thank me with tears in their eyes when bought a meal while they proceed to talk trash about people like you who do not understand it is their JOB. No soldier wants to be deployed, anywhere..EVER...but it happens. No I didn't read your other blog because basically I have decided you are full of shit and yourself, and not necessarily in that order. matter of fact don't bother responding,I won't be looking at any of your blogs ever again. I do wonder why you choose to do this on a biker site, which by the way I am wondering why you are here? You sure aren't a biker, You're probably not even an American. If you are so secure in your convictions why aren't you spewing this stuff on any of the web sites that bare politically based? There are many to choose from. I don't know how old you are, but I bet if you're old enough to remember Vietnam, you were probably one of the people who spit on our soldiers and did other unspeakable acts when they returned. I would invite you to come speak at some of our local biker vet groups, but I would not want to be held responsible for your death.

PULLDADDY's you do not need to repost your original ravings as most people [excluding you] are capable scrolling down or remembering your original insight. It would also be more logical to not name-call when condemning me for name-calling. I guess that logic is beyond your abilities. Perhaps your tin-foil hat is on too tight?

Cinnamon, We definitely have a different opinions on what constitutes supporting the troops but, as you put it, I guess that part just went over your head. I DO NOT SEE SUPPORTING THE TROOPS AS BUYING A DRINK OR MEAL TO A UNIFORMED SOLDIER AS YOU SUGGESTED, although that is a nice jester. My idea of supporting the troops is learning the truth/reasons concerning why we are asking our military for their sacrifices and if you don't believe that their mission is justified, righteous, or serve any other purpose then to make a lots of bucks for the war profiteers, then you owe it to the boots [who are over there or who will be going over there] to object to their deployment. I guess that part just went over your head. Five out of seven days I personally chat with soldiers that have been in Iraq. I also don't express my research, facts and opinions of the Iraqi cluster-f to them unless they wish to engage in that discussion. I would also [politely] suggest to you that instead of routinely buying free drinks or dinner to uniform boots, why don't you start writing letters to senators and house members, or go to a protest to stop the occupation. If more citizens started to learn the truth and OBJECTING to the Iraqi cluster-f perhaps no more boots would be sent over there, but I guess that idea just went over your head. One last question for you, did you read the Blog entries titled, "The War As We See It"? I'm very curious on your's or other people opinion about it. Funny, but not one person has posted a reply but, I guess from this cowed-crowd I really should not expect anything else.

If your looking for a date on Bk then good luck on that buddy. But at least you give people a target so they don't get bored. Justy, I currently have over 20 family members who have been involved in this conflict, many who have done multiple tours.I also volunteer with vet groups who have returned from the war... Believe me from someone who has ACTUALLY BEEN AROUND THE SOLDIERS WHO HAVE BEEN THERE ...there are just as many who agree with the war as those who don't. And I will point out I am not a Bush fan.I did not vote for him nor would I if he were able to run again for office. The point is to support your Armed Forces,no matter what you think about the war. But I guess that part just went over your head. I would be happy to provide you with some addresses of soldiers currently over there so you can find out for yourself that some soldiers agree and some don't. How many have you spoken to or known personally who have been there? And media account do not count. For all you other folks who know what a hard life it is to serve in the Armed Forces,I suggest this... The next time you are in a restaraunt or bar and see a soldier in uniform on leave buy their meal or drink and say it's on Justy! I routinely do this anyway, without mention of Justy..if someone can go over and risk their life no matter what they think about the war the least I can do is buy them a drink or dinner!
