I am going bald...but don't know exactly when...it's all for my Moms. She is in stage 3 of breast and lympnode cancer. I will be shaving my hair off as she loses hers and giving all 18" to the locks of love; however, I will be keeping a rats/chinese tail, thats her decision. Being all in good spirits Moms and I are out and about dew rag shopping, preferably pink, any shade and design. Should anyone run into some unusal pink rags, let me know. I'm going Bald, Think Pink!

That's a very noble thing you are doing Tamara. I just lost a close father figure in my life to brain cancer. Keep up the good fight.

Tamara, You are a lovely woman. I have read how mothers will shave their heads for their children and whole families will do so. That is terrific! I will keep your mom in my prayers!!

That is excellent Tamara! My club is puting on a run for breast cancer 9/22. We had an interview on the local news station Friday. T-shirts are 15.00 and say Support our Boobs. Anyone wants one let me know. All the money goes to Breast Cancer research and support. I am not giving up my hair as it might not grow back but they can have my time.

I have someone near me that makes beautiful pink do rags replete with faux clear jewels. Looks really nice, not tacky. I could hook you up with her if you are interested. I believe she sells them for 15 or 20 bucks. So pretty reasonable.

I can't help with the dorag, but I am walking in the American Cancer Society Endure for a Cure in October in Michigan. I lost a very close friend/aunt to breast cancer and I do all I can to contribute and spread the cause. I will put your mom and you on my list of honorees this year.

Dennis Kirk has one you can check there web site. Might also look or Jammin Jammie Leather site. Should be plenty on the market for you. That's great that your doing that for your mom. I lost my grandmother to that in the 60's. There is so much more they can do for her now. She is in my prayers.

Tamara, Walmart has some really cute pink (and other colors) bandanas that have these cute laughing skulls on them...maybe not for Mom (or maybe?), but they are great for riding. I own several and I always get people asking where I got them at. At 94 cents they are a steal too! A big hug to you for supporting your Mom during this hard time and baring your head for the world to see. You have way more courage than me, GF. Locks of love is a great organization to support.
