I guess if you like em that's fine, but cut the "rebel" stuff. Yeah, you are a rebel and so are the other 300,000 people who bought on THIS YEAR! Lemming is much closer. Harley's are the motorcycle equivilent to a Toyota Camry (and accelerate and handle the same). So slap on your costume, fire up your HD, ride two blocks to the coffee shop and get a big ol latte. But be sure to give everyone a hard look cause you are a rebel! Grrrr Tiger!

Re: Waving. Generally I've found that the area where I'm riding seems to have at least as much to do with the number of waves I get back as what kind of machines being ridden. OKC area is one of the best for waves - from just about anything with two wheels and an engine. Dallas-Fort Worth Metro area comes in Second. Witchita Falls area is the worst I've ever seen. Almost NOBODY waves. Here in Salt Lake - it's about mediocre. What I find interesting is that when I'm on the Harley NOBODY on a scooter waves. Yet when I'm riding the Vespa almost every Harley and Wing rider waves back - or waves first. Damn Scooter riders won't wave at another scooter rider either. When I was part of the Sailing Community there were always discussions about the number of assholes operating powerboats. My feeling is - there are assholes operating just about every kind of transportation conveyance ever invented. There are also a lot of very nice people operating the same stuff. It all comes down to the person on or in the boat/bike/scooter/car/airplane/roller skates. Some are and some aren't...Assholes. DT

WOW! I decided to poke a little fun and you guys all were cool with it. Thanks for the funny and civil replies. All motorcyles are cool. I'm neither Honda nor Yamaha, my bikes are technically "pasta" rockets... My frustration stems from two things: A I'm wicked retarded and; B I tried to politely pass a group of HD riders on a two lane road. They spread out across both lanes to stop me from passing. I then had to make rude pass by splitting the middle. I don't know it just seemed unecessary. So ride fast and take chances.. STM

Are we evaluating Pasties or Camrys? I personally don't like Pasties - makes me think of some kind of cover-up.

I like the coffee shops with good pastries, but I'm a cappuccino guy myself.
