So Im eating at the counter of my favorite breakfast/lunch place and ended up in a heated discussion about helmets with a gentleman that is as conservitive as " Rightous Right/ Evangelicals". Of course that is all that are here in the South, mostly. Some of us transplants are not. I just want to say that if you ride, here in Florida you have a choice. To wear a helmet or not too. I choose not too. My reasons are my own. Not to mention my freedom to choose. Which I did go to war for this country. I hope I still have my freedom to choose. If this country keeps going down the road we are headed we won't have to many more freedoms left. "Let those who ride decide"

It's funny how the beaurocrats say more medical insurance for us bikers but it's ok to smoke which says on the box your gonna get cancer and have health issues. Also alcohol causes health issues. Lets not forget about all the side effects of prescription meds. Why don't you have to wear a helemt in a convertable? Wear a helmet having ? Ohh yea next will be have to wear condoms when having too. When will it ever stop?

MI has been trying to get the helmet law off the books for years. If issued a ticket for riding without a helmet it is thrown out in court. So why even have that law?

The reason Florida requires $10,000 in addtional health insurance is so you won't be a drain on the State if your seriously hurt. Its hard to find that coverage. We need to save the State health care cash for the illegals so not enough left for the tax payers.
