With Memorial Day coming upon us lets not forget the Veterans of this country! Being a Gulf War Vet it shocks me that we fly our flags at half staff for the victums of Virginia Tech but we don't fly it half staff for the troops that are dieing every single day! 3337 DEAD 24,314 wounded! Please remember these troops, their familys and all other Veterans that are alive in your prayers! We are free because of the brave! We can ride because of them! POW/MIA YOU WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN!!!!!

Sad news to All Veterans. VFW Post 8577 here in Texas, lost a damn'd good Veteran, this past week. Scottie G. was called to help Disabled Veterans to move their vehicles away from a raging overflowing creek and was swept away, in the process, this past Thursday. Everyone searched for him and he was found 4 miles down the creek after some of the water had receded. Scottie will be missed dearly. Hug Any Veteran This Weekend. Thanks for letting me cry for Scottie G.

Remember those who have died for you as you enjoy this long weekend. Say a prayer that our young men and women make it home soon from Iraq.

I hug my dad who is an ex Marine and my brother who just returned from Iraq, I thank them every day not just on memorial day, and I agree with you about the flag being at half staff, these men and women need more respect for what they are doing, whether we agree with what is going on or not. being raised with family and friends who are serving or did serve gives you a differant look at what they actully went thru.

I agree HMRDK, as long as troops are dying it should be at half mast. Memorial Day, for those that died and for you, Spyder and all the other that lived through it all. I often wonder if there is a better words out there than "thank you" because they seem so small.
