I have always liked riding at night, I know alot of people don't like it because the living road hazards come out. There are nice days I can sit home but when the darkness comes I'm on the chopper. LOL, I rode a little bit yesterday but it was a little chilly, but when darkness came I was out riding. I realized that it is like the night wraps around me like a protective shell. In the middle of winter I think about those humid nights when I'm still in a T-shirt at midnight. Spyder

TTT, What a wonderful thing to say. Sweet, you are right. there is a quietness. It seems the day time is very loud, Charlie, that's it, the light unfolds the road. DD, I would love to ride the desert at night, that has to be just great.

I agree night riding is the best. To me it feels like the night has pushed everything away, and on a dark night it's hust you and the road unfolding in the head lights. Truly the best

I love the way you tell a story Spyder, even a short one. Something about the way you tell it, you remind me very much of a wonderful author named James Lee Burke.

I agree Spyder, it is my favorite time to ride. The lights, the air, even the sound of the bike is different it seems. Nothing like it.

One of my most memorable night rides was last fall at Delmarva. I rode down and around the inlet at 3 am...it was warm and quiet. The bars were closed and the outside chairs and tables were being brought in for the night. A few drunks were still staggering home. And off in the distance, you culd hear the rumble of another set of pipes. But lately, riding at night just means I eat more bugs.
