Where do I start to talk about what has happened today. How do I express to a family, friend, or classmate how sad I feel? I was watching the TV this morning but had to turn it off, it just gets to be to much and I keep trying to tell myself this is not happening. I thought about the whole day riding. I just want to say if anyone on BK knows anybody or has tie's to VT, you have my support. Spyder

T, I was on MSN a little while ago and there are 5 stories about this guy and only one about the victims. I know this happens everytime there is a tragedy like this. Media has a real sick thing with wanting to find this out and waiting us to know about. And of course you have a fair amount of time about gun control and just can't seem to grab ahold of the idea that gun control is only for people who obey the law. I feel really bad for VT. I wish the media would leave them alone so the students can feel safe to be on campus and be with there friends. Spyder

Well, if this kid was mentally ill chances are nothing could have prevented it but who knows. The horror all the families must face now, especially not grieving privately, is incredible. And his parents. Their son just commits mass murder. Did they know he was ill? Had they tried to get him help? Who knows. Just horribly tragic. But the press! I heard part of the news conference today. Boy that guy sure held his composure. This one guys yells, "it's our job to ask the questions" as he was trying to blame the University for this. They don't want answers, they want to place blame. Why does there always have to be blame?? Sometimes there is accountability and there should be if possible. Other times it is just a tragedy in an ill person's mind that they finally played out in real life.

On msn they have a link to NBC news which has footage of this freak. 5 min. alone in a room with the right patriot and 32 kids would still be alive.

Sorry to be a party pooper, but its only going to get worse. The firepower available to the average disturbed individual is huge. Whatever evil can be thought or dreamed up by people on the edge of sanity or reason and who have little regard for others, can very easily be manifested as the recipes for creating great disasters are freely available. Its only the morals and values and respect for others and respect for their differences that keep us from waxing each other each day. if our warring blogs could kill, many of us would be dead today. You have to live life as if todays the last day. Your future is the present and every day after that is a gift. Dont take it for granted. We're basically at war each day with our own emotions, and the pain we then direct outwards onto anyone who reflects what we think is our enemy. So watch out...your greatest enemy may be the one staring at you in the mirror!

This is horrible. I don't know what would posess someone to do such a thing, but my thoughts are with the victims' families. Reminds me of the shooting gallery at an engineering college in Montreal a while back, but on a much bigger scale. So sad.

Only a coward opens fire on a group of unarmed people. Im sure they will blaim it on video games, his GF broke up with him, he got a D, he was thrown out of school, etc. People dont know how to handle things anymore..the answer...go shoot a bunch of helpless kids who had nothing to do about it anyways!!! I swear we will be our own demise one day

What happened is so, so wrong! The world is going to hell in a hand basket. My prayers go out to all the families involved in VA.

Yeah Spyder... This kinda thing pisses me off too. I went for a ride this afternoon too. There's just something about rolling out on the streets in jeans and a shirt that makes me feel pretty good. Maybe its the way the wind ruffles my clothes... I don't know.. I rolled the sleaves up and was out there with a 1/2 helmet, sunglasses, and my gloves. For a while... everything was alright in the world. Then I returned to the office and heard the new numbers... DAM... that just sucks. Deuce

What has happened is never a good thing. I wonder if at times the press bringing it to the front of every one in some small way promotes some of the terror that we seem to live with. The families of those taken are in our prayers. The hurting and there families are also in our prayers.
