anybody ever do this? got all set up to wash my bike, and then discovered i was out of cleaner, and it's sunday, and the harley dealer is closed.proving that the unmarried male mind is potentaily dangerous, i ran in the house and grabbed a bottle of shampoo. it worked great, and the bike even smells good.i wonder what conditioner would do.......

I do not know if they still are, but the cleaners you get from HD used to be repackaged Stoner's products. You should be able to get that at your local auto parts store

hi junie, with the better weather, it seems my butt just glues itself to the saddle, i'm off now because i need to change the oil.

Well, when the HD shop is closed, head to an auto parts, Wallyworld, etc. You can find Mothers or Maguires products and they are just the same as what you buy at HD. Only cheaper. Not that I ever wash my bike.

I would have never thought of that. It was probably gentle on the paint! I use Dawn most of the time so I usually have some on hand. Spyder

i eventualy will go back, texas is a great place for a lot of touring. and just the little bit i saw is going to stay with me. you and paddy and her sidekick kainin made it a great trip.

DAWN DISHSOAP detergent works great too and cuts the grease....I also use Qtips to getin those hard to get in to places, do you? Dawn now comes in wonderful aroma therapy scents....
