Next week I'm coming down to the Vegas Strip. I'm not much of a gambler but wanna have a good time. The buddy I'm going with is also single, good times. Any recommendations on what to do? A buddy recommended Margaritaville, what else, never been there before. Please help BK?

Jersey, at the place I mentioned, that Olympic Gardens, don't even know if it is still there, the downstairs has the female strippers and the upstairs has the male strippers. And when I was there most of the guys were around your son's age. Sooooooo....But the women upstairs watching the men? Looked like everyone's gramma and jr high typing teacher! And they were DANGEROUS broads.

Of course, bear in mind, this is all coming from the perspective of two married women who were under the thumbs of very strained marriages and all they could think of was save your money for shopping, shopping, dancing, shopping, shopping, dancing, party ok flirting harmlessly, we were never gonna see them again, and shopping some more, party, dancing. Caesar's has a great mall and I think we were the first customers at BEBE in the Venetian Mall, lol! We just stood there glaring till they finally let us in. I guess a guys perspective would be hop in a taxi and get me to the nearest strip bar.

Lat time I went we took in all the sights on the strip but my favorite night was when we went to the old part of Vegas. Everything is undercover and the lazer light show was awesome. On the way there we had to stop at the In and Out Burger. When you are standing at one end of the strip it doesn't look all that long but it is all an illusion. Once you start hoofing it down the street you realize just how far away everything really is. AG

Ok, don't take taxi's if you just want to go down the strip. Either walk or take hotel trams. Diving is a huge pain. The hotels all have shuttles. They take a long time sometimes but taxis will eat your money. But the Tropicana is at one end of the strip. You are close to MGM Grand, Luxor, NY NY, Excalibur and whatever else they have built there since I have been. Downtown is the opposite end and then left, that I would either drive or taxi. Each hotel has tried to outdo the other in glamour and attraction. I have not been there since the Venetian was almost completed and the Bellagio was still under construction, so was Mandalay Bay so lots has changed. It is kinda fun to watch the volcano go off at the Mirage and the pirate show outside. The white tigers are beautiful though if you are an animal lover you will have mixed feelings about all that. I know the Bellagio had priceless art works. The other newer hotels I know nothing about. There is a bar at New York New York that is a riot, kind of a Cheers type decor and they have dueling comedic/piano players, fast, funny, raunchy. also the Motown cafe. They also have some big roller coaster. As for food and strip clubs, ask the dealers or bartenders, the older ones, lol. Have fun..both of you. Hmmm secret rendezvous huh???

Well Likeit, besides the usual strip bars (The Olympic Gardens used to be the big hot spot) and the HD cafe which usually has a lot of nice bikes OUTSIDE, just checking out the hotels themselves is cool. And people watching is a riot. The clubs are great. I have not been in almost 10 years so I am quite sure they have all changed but The Rio had a great club on the main floor (don't recall the name) and the VooDoo Lounge on the very top. There is also the Hard Rock. Really, once you get there you will be seeing so much while you try to decide. If you want to gamble cheap, go downtown. Don't stay on the strip. Sunday nights are the cheapest for tables of course. But like I said..it's been a few years. I used to go twice a year. I miss it. Where are you staying?
