No matter how much we cherish our independence, our ability to handle whatever the universe gives us and the self confidence that we can make it work out for the better, am I the only one that sometimes just throws up their hands and says, "frack it, I just can't do this any more?" You know, sometimes I'd just like to walk into this house and have someone waiting to give me a welcome home hug and a panty melting kiss. Someone that would get a good laugh out of that big metal frog I nailed to the tree stump. Someone that wouldn't mind that my nose is all red and swollen and peeling from this nasty cold. Forgive the ramble, it's pneumonia induced daydreaming. Or is it?

No MsH you are not the only one. When I was working 3 jobs, 6 days and comatose on Sundays I used to lay there and pray someone would call and say "hey, want me to go do your laundry? shopping? take out your trash? buy bird food? feed you?" There comes a time when you just feel you can't do it anymore. Then you do it some more. Like everything else in life. It has a beginning and an end. Sometimes the end isn't a definitive ending, maybe it is just a turn in the road. Take your meds hon. If anyone is around to help you, please let them.

Never have kissed any frogs, a good many jerks, though. I really think that it more the fact that I have been on my own for 11 years. I certainly am not about to give up my independence, sure would be nice to share some of this terrific life I lead with someone, though. Guess turning 54, and being stuck in one place for the winter, has given me lots of time to think. I have more than enough of everything, 98 pairs of socks, and I have done more than most people I know and love. I have never stopped missing the personal interaction between two people intimately connected. Guess maybe I'll just go get another tattoo. have always wanted to have an artist draw a man trapped under my boob, only his hands and feet showing. That should be enough intimacey for a while. Thanks for all the hugs. Good people are like the perfect bra, full support and comfort, too.

I was going to offer a hug but after some of the other comments I had better keep my distance. I do hope you get to feeling better and just consider your self hugged anyway.

Sorry But the diagnosis is that you are suffering from a life long termonal condition = called Being a Human Being. No cure and no getting away from it. Most ideas, religions and American dreams are a delusionary way of escaping and denying the universal vulnerable condition that we need another human being but one that does not piss us off too much and vis a vis. Painful thing is is that we always get another imperfect human being full of flaws and vunlnerabilities and we just don't like being too close to another mirror sometime. Giving you a big Hug until Mr Wonderful steps through the door. Right we want a possie a BK men ready to go up and be busboys for MsH whilts she's being ill. Fluff those pillows, make thos nice hot drinks, tidy up a bit sooth her weiry body. Hold her hair back from her head and hold the sick bucket and spitoon while she coughs up. Junie

Oh honey....it doesn't take pneumonia to feel that way. I think there are many of us who feel the same. Maybe we should open a ranch for the BK folks. Like I have said before. We all need someone and desire to be touched, loved, kissed and held close when we feel bad. Someone to draw a tub of hot water for the bath, to give a good rub down when our muscles are soar, to bring us NyQuil when we can't breath. To laugh with, ride with, cry with. OK we need a central location for the ranch. Any ideas out there? Here's a big hug for ya. UMMMMM Tomorrow's a new day! Sleep well
