New Years Eve and St Patrick's day are the two days out of the year that I make it a point not to go out. i don't have the patients to handle the drunks anymore. So you can do what I do and go to bed early so you can call all your drunk friends and wake their sorry asses up about 7 am.

My first Sober New Years was a b*tch. They have gotten much better since. When all else fails remember-its just another day. You may end up being bored, but just think...NO DUI, No jail cells, No p*ssed off family and friends, No cant find your car in the AM, No waking up with "What the hell was I thinking!!" No hangovers, And the all time favorite....No waking up in a wet pair of pants. I like that kind of boring. Good luck!!

Well I for one hate New Years, its the night you have to go out, all the idiots are out and drunk and talking and spitting in your face..I would much rather stay home and hang out..but I got suckered into going to 2 parties, one at my boss's house and one at a friends, but when the clock strikes midnight I kissing whoever is closest and grabboing my coat and going home LOL : )

Sweet Kate Don't know haw far in the sticks you are. But most 12 step club houses have something going on for new year. Some go all out and even have a live band. Some Churches do parties as well.
