I feel overwhemed at this very moment..Today is Aug, 10th, 2006. My son called me this morning.. to tell me this grim news about the attempt from terrorists to blow up 10 airplanes, coming into the US. ;-( I am really shaken up by this.. yet, relieved they foiled the attempt. That security, over there was keeping vigil accounts of happenings over there. To catch them, from doing this terrible thing. Right now, I feel so NERVOUS and SCARED. I know, that it is probably safer to fly now.. then ever before .. just makes me feel anxious that this is happening. When is this going to STOP with us living in FEAR?

While I was in the Middle East I started saying, "You only live twice..." I got a lot of funny looks until I clarified - once here; once elsewhere. Live the best life you can here; but always remember, THIS ONE is temporary, it's the next one that's permanent.

You know what - I live in England and it is worrying when you hear such news, but I am not living in fear because everyday could be my last for any number of reasons. There is no point in worrying about it really (although I realise that is hard to do especially if you know someone who will be flying), and I certainly won't be putting off any of my holidays (which always involve flying).

LOL, Halfinch! Guess England's known terrorism for so long, they're born ducking and covering! Something all nations are having to come to terms with. I was born into the Northern Irish roubles. I don't know any other way. The 'fear' is more like sensible caution. But friends have tried to explain how difficult it is having to deal with potential threats when it's so foreign to your way of life. I really feel for those that are now frightened of theats unknown. It can be a lousy world sometimes, being threatened by people for no fault of our own. It's sad.

What makes me even more fearfull and sad is to think and wonder what a terrible kinda world it is for my Grandsons to grow up in,and what will their futures hold in store for them. I can only hope and pray for world peace. For them, and for everyone on God's good earth.

I read the back of the book. Unfortunately it probably won't stop. But if we allow fear to overtake us, they win. We need to LOVE and FIGHT. I work for the military; my daughter is engaded to an Iranian. So, in my own way I'm both fighting and loving. Peace!
