Being a Habs die-hard, it's difficult for me to give kudos to any other team (sorry Angel, especially the Canes lol) but I was happy to see Sid the Kid get nowhere near the Cup. Whiner...the Wings deserved it - Osgood was THAT good!

By that I mean they have been able to afford to hire the best players and totally run over teams from smaller markets. (My opinion and not based on printed facts.) But NOW, with a level playing field due to the new rules, they had the same starting advantages as every other team, and...they WON!!! It was talent, grit, skill and work ethic. Congratulations to them!!!!
(And for you Stars fans, unless they have changed it, the farm team for Dallas is the Michigan K-Wings, in Kalamazoo. So there's a connection for ya.)

Yep, there used to be that connection! I think it ended around 2000 & since it's been Iowa or Utah(? lol). I did read recently we may not have one for next season, waiting on a new team & stadium...the Texas Stars in Austin. Would've never thought there'd be so much hockey in TX. LOL

Red Wings has always been a good strong team. They are probably one of THE best run organizations in sports. The one game which went into 3 OT's, I could not even leave the room to go pee!! Too intense for me! But, I was very happy with the end result.
