Well I got mine from some of the guys we fish with. I got a new boat and they where picking at me. I told them that we had to have our toys. One of them said that was some toy. So we named the boat $umToy and the rest of them have had they same name. Now everybody started to call me sumtoy. The hot rod shop is called $umToy Performance so the guys we fish with and race with just call me SumToy.

I love words, the way they sound, and what they mean. Especially if the word and sound matches the description of it. Years ago, I was trying to think of an email name that was different than all the run of the mill ones I had been noticing on varius sites and emails,etc.. Suddenly, symbiosis popped into my head. Naaaa.. Doesn't sound right I thought. Then I spoke out symbiotic. My friend loved the sound of the word and the way I said it, and kept making me say it over and over again. So be it, symbiotic became my handle/nickname.

Mine is a nickname given to me by a friend because of the fact that I'm so fair-skinned and rarely (okay never) tan. I burn, peel, go right back to fishbelly white. I actually got the nickname when I still lived in PA. Sadly, I've been in South Florida for over 7 years and still look whiter than most of the tourists!!

This nic is my latest incarnation and I gave it to myself a few years ago when I had 5 dogs...hell, somebody has to be boss in the pack so I became Top Dawg...the 044 came about because everyplace I logged into already had a TopDawg there...it made my login unique. It's my nic pretty much everywhere I have an online account.

When I worked in Wash. a friend of mine at work started calling me Elmo. When I asked him why, he said it was because I was always smiling and happy and laughing. He said I reminded him of "Tickle me Elmo" The 50 was my age at the time I signed up on another site. I just kept it.

to the lady "PMS": I recently came across a web site referring to PMS as "Parked Motorcycle Syndrome". Thought you'd get a laugh. I got my nic after riding with a few "harleyriders" and wanted something that fit me. So we came up with "Lady Rider". It's not original, hense the 5 in the middle. (grins)

"Botar" was my college nickname. I grew up in southern Missouri and went to school in New England. Since I was from Missouri, they all thought we sat around on our front porch, played banjo, and drank from a big jug... which we did. So they came up with the name "Botar" because it was the most backwards, redneck thing they could think of at the moment. The "by8s" part is business related.
