I am just learning to ride my first time alone I broke foot, scapula, dislocated arm and brain swelling , second time layed it down on the sea wall and a car ran over my hair. the third time I did OK but still a bit scared to turn ...Will the fear leave so I can do this right?

So it WAS really a typo then? Dang, I was kinda hoping it was a Freudian-slip-flirty thing. Keep riding and trying, Texas. (Might have to start calling you "Crashette" from now on..)

Like I said, you've shown by your deeds that you have the right heart.

Quoting: Originally posted by DynaThom I am praying for you every day. I would hate so much for you to be hurt any more!!! The advice about practicing on a smaller bike is the best - even get on a bicycle and ride it as though it was a motorcycle for a while - incidentally, there are two ways to turn a bicycle - a lot of us lean without bothering to "push in the direction you want to turn." Ride the bicycle as if it was a big bike. Practice. Practice - . You say you have a Fat Boy but the bike in the photo is a Road King - don't mean to be splitting hairs - but: (!!!) My Electra Glide Classic is too big for me. I admit it. I'm a little guy - well my legs are short and they don't reach the ground even when I'm walking!!! You've GOT to be able to put both feet flat on the ground when you are stopped. I've had my Glide lowered in back (same rear suspension as an RK) plus I got a special seat that puts my butt another inch or so closer to the pavement. I've got a pair of shitkicking boots that I've had resoled with the same stuff as my biker boots. If you can't put both feet flat on the ground - you need to make your bike fit YOU so that you can. I don't know anything about lowering softails so if your bike is a Fat Boy you need some good advice in that area. I've got a feeling that the turns that are bothering you are the low speed turns, like at a stop sign, light, etc. Am I right? If so, I've got advice for that - but first - get accustomed to riding on two wheels with an engine. The advice to get a cheap dirt bike and practice in the dirt is the best on here - but - don't be afraid to go back and take the class again either. That would give you a chance to compare riding the little bikes with riding a big one. Go with God but remember the old story about the drunk helping the preacher out of his wrecked car: Drunk: Are ya all right Preacher? Preacher: Yes son, the Lord's riding with me. Drunk: Well ya better let Him ride with me before you kill Him!!! DT

Now here's a reply that came straight from the heart. Yeap.

I agree with you K6. I'm a menace on the road even in a car. Would rather ride on the back and enjoy the ride. How're you doin love? You're very low key lately! :)
