Please keep my friend Annie in your prayers. Her son aged 27 was found dead in Raleigh, NC on Tuesday at the tender age of 27. Andrew Britton had been making a name for himself in the international thriller genre with the publications of THE AMERICAN, THE ASSASSIN and the newly released THE INVISIBLE, which continues the exploits of CIA agent and counterterrorism operative Ryan Kealey. As a young lad, Andrew used to march in the parades in Grand Rapids with my children. One of the most renowned of all St. Patrick's day parades was when our children marched side by side for the IRA prisoners "The Birmingham 6". May God help you through this Annie, my dear friend. God rest his young soul.

This is so very sad, Pattie. You have my prayers as does your friend Annie, and the entire family. I am so glad this young man realized his dream so early.

Thank you friends. I knew that I could count on you. The Easter Rising of 1916 is always a big commeration for us Irish. It'll be a tough one this year for our Annie. I read her lament on my space and I cried with her. May my God look down on her and put his arms around her thru this difficult time. In time Annie will take his ashes back to Armagh where they belong.

Quoting Eye_m_no_angel: That is truly sad. No parent should have to bury their child. My thoughts will be with your friend. I don't know if I've ever met Annie or not, but I've been to Tir Na Nog's many a time, mostly for the Sunday breakfast buffet. Pull the bike up right out front on the sidewalk and no one ever complains. It's a great place. May she know some peace.

Very well said Amen and my prayers go out to her Patti

Quoting NightNurse: My condolences, and a prayer for your friend Annie,on the loss of her beloved Son,Andrew. May God give you comfort and peace. There is no simple answer for why we endure such painful trials. But please believe that God is there. He wants to comfort you and provide peace in your heart. And He holds your child in the palm of His hand, in a place where there is no pain, no suffering, no sadness and no tears. It is a place where His eternal love is complete.

Thank you NN for your kind condolences. This will indeed be a rough Easter for Annie at a time when we normally commerate the Easter Rising of 1916.

Annie manages Tir na nOg. The lilting Irish voice on the answering machine is hers. Amazingly my cabin is also called Tir na nOg which in Gaelic means Land of the Young. Stop by someday and give her a hug from me. I really would appreciate it Eye. Thanks for you condolances. He was getting ready to start his 4th book which was to take place in Ireland. He had complained of chest pains, probably from all the stress.
