Music..The blues Posted on Oct 18, 2007 at 05:08 PM
I think music is one of the great things in life. It can pick you up when your feeling down. It can make you cry. It sets the mood. It makes you remember times past, people past, good times and bad. I have eclectic taste in music. I'll listen to damn near anything but have an affinity for the blues. I've been listening to alot of Sue Foley lately. Wondering what all you BK folks have been listening to....... Anyone?
Never wrestle with a pig.... Posted on Oct 04, 2007 at 06:36 PM
Never wrestle with a pig, You both get dirty and the pig likes it. George Bernard Shaw. I heard perhaps the best description of media the other day. It applied to damn near any media....Be it internet, published, television, you name it. IF YOU CAN'T ATTACK THE ISSUE, ATTACK THE PERSON. Seemed a universal truth. Often times if the message can't be refuted or argued...bash the person bringing it up. Something to think about. A gentleman is someone who puts more into the world then he takes out. Also George Bernard Shaw.
You, Me, Us. Posted on Oct 03, 2007 at 02:09 PM
You And Me Robert Service I'm part of people I have known And they are part of me; The seeds of thought that I have sown In other minds I see. There's something of me in the throne And in the gallows tree. There's something of me in each one With whom I work and play, For islanded there can be none In this dynamic day; And meshed with me perchance may be A leper in Cathay. There's me in you and you in me, For deeply in us delves Such common thought that never we Can call ourselves ourselves. In coils of universal fate No man is isolate. For you and I are History, The all that ever was; And woven in the tapestry Of everlasting laws, Persist will we in Time to be, Forever you and me.

Hark to the ewe that bore him: "What has muddied the strain? Never his brothers before him Showed the hint of a stain." Hark to the tups and wethers; Hark to the old gray ram: "We're all of us white, but he's black as night, And he'll never be worth a damn." Robert Service
