I have tried to get a couple different women to ride, with no success. I built a bike for my late wife, but she was afraid of it. Then I offered to give one of my bikes to a woman I was dating, if she would learn to ride. Instead of taking the class, she tried to sell the bike to her dad

I quit riding on the back of my son in laws because the group he rides with is down right dangerous and drink from 9:00AM to the wee hours of the night. Sooo, bought my own and decided if I was going to wreck it would be not because of careless people I ride with. I do miss riding in back though. Just has to be a good and safe person before I climb on. Dropped my bike in the driveway, stood there and looked at it, thought about it, and picked it right up, afraid my neighbors would see it laying on the ground and laugh.

Ok, let's address the dropping issue, I did have a Victory and I dropped it of course and let me tell you, there was no way in hell I could pick that bike up. My boyfriend at the time did it for me as he was teaching me to ride and he was a BIG man, tall, strong and it was no easy task to lift up almost 700lbs.
So a woman is out riding alone and drops it,....I never did learn the technique of picking it up. I guess we look helpless till someone stops? What am I saying look? I had to stop buying the 50lb bag of dog food recently as my almost 50 year old body was saying no honey, we ain't picking that up anymore.

Lots more women riders around these days. I like it...better scenery to look at. Have been lots more who ride their own on my rides with other clubs, especially cruiser clubs, but more girls on sportbikes too.
If you want to find more women riders find a club thats open...they prefer riding in packs for safety.

Look closely, with all that gear on in cold weather, sometimes it is hard to tell! I ride my own. I like to see the different reactions when I take the full face helmet off! Some guys REALLY like ladies who ride their own, it is a very powerful, sexy thing. Other guys think ladies belong on the back. Either way, it's all good!

Some woman just prefer to be on the back, I have been riding myself for along time...and the only time I will jump on the back is if Im planning on drinking alot. I think alot of woman dont realize how easy it is to ride, or have no one to teach them. : )

Believe it or not, I still hear the same crap I heard 30 years ago; women don't belong on a motorcycle, unless they're riding bitch. In Pa, if you don't receive your endorsement through the STAR course, your chance of passing the riding ability test, through the police is slim and none. But any idiot with a penis will be passed on the first fun.

Maybe it's because of lottsa reasons. I have noticed more and more Lady riders in NJ and PA. Had a man friend 2 summers ago,and the group of people he rode with consisted of several Lady riders. I never could afford my own ride. Had other obligations. Now I am building my own. Finally have had the blessings to save some money, and have a good start with an older Harley that survived a run in with a deer which my Man has had stored away, and has given to me to re-build.
