I think you have to face them to deal with them, and OWN THEM to take control. Many a man has rampaging ideas and passions running through him. if you get nervous of anything it will control you and you will always be the weaker one. Need to face it and deal with it. Sex is part of life, in fat it is life. It just needs to be a beneficial part of relationships. Not the most destructive force. At the moment male sexuality is the No1 reason for deaths, suicides, self-harm, psychosomatic illness and mental illness in women and children across the world. And many a lovely innocent christian girl has got married with lots of ideas of being loved and cherished and sex being a happy experience. and woke up having been treated like a whore and a punch bag then being told she ahs to live like that for the rest of her life and be quiet as she must not embarrass the church. I have seen a woman's soul crushed. Lot of miserbale women out there living with things most non christians have dealt with long time ago. More concerned with wickedness and evil and cruelty than a man wanking. Lot of women have been attacked by christian men with pent-up emotions. At 6 years old i decided i would never marryy, never have children and never let a christian man in my life. My expereince of christian men have been the worse. Back to my lovely pagan, agnostics "human" men. If I had a choice of going out with a christian man and marrying him and going and burning in Hell for all Eternity. I would choose Hell. You are that bad. and don't say i haven't met the right ones 47 years is a long time of meeting christians who are eithe cruel or cruel in their naivity and the ignorance is just incredible. No1 reason for admissions to mental hospitals. junie [

Re: Heretic write: there is only one unforgivable sin in the bible, and that is not it

Sin against the Holy Spirit. Bu as no one knows what that is, we are stuck. Maybe that is where born agains are told they can commit sins but as long as they pray in tongues while doing it their sin is covered and forgiven. Female victim of extensive child abuse by elders on ward whilst bravely going through the trial. He prayed in tongues while doing it as that absolved him of his sin. Don't start me!! MASTURBATING!!!Sort the other crap ou first which is more important. Onanism is not masturbatin but refusing to do your duty to give a woman a child. And contraception and birth control was absolutely essential to a nomadic tribe with few resources and a hard mobile life. Withdrawal, shells, stones, pessary concoctions were actively used (Tell the Pope) Finding emmisions in the morning, means finding signs of infection or illness. and staying out of camp till you are better is "quarantine" It is good to get control but that is same as every other bodily function. Also christians will teach guys that the woman is responsible for their feelings. A guy feels that becasue the woman is sending him that messgae. Bollocks. men have those feeling becasue they have those hormones. To a greater or lesser degree. Wonderful christian marriage, submitting to crap and a crap performance every night and having it explained why you shouldn't expect anything better. The reason God wrote down all the commandments is so you wouldn't get caught up in the small sht. juniue

Re: motorpsych0bich write: I was not brought up religious, and my prescence in a church could probably melt the stained glass for all i know.. i have crossed many paths with strongly religious people...To be honest, i dont mesh well because i always feel like i have to watch what i say...So i steer clear as i try not to burst any bubbles.. The closest thing to being religious for me was that "cross your heart" bra i used to wear when i jogged, and some reading that right now may be praying for me as i write..By "the book" according to them, i am a sinner, and doing "the deed" is my crime... So if its a trial by fire, ill bring the "plenti- pack" of marshmallows..

You would be more than welcome in the church I go to. We are a non-denomenational church that was designed for "People who think religion is boring and irrelevant." Our preacher, who preaches in jeans and t-shirt, just completed a series called "Religion Sucks" which he and our church caught a lot of flack for. He makes it clear that he is as screwed up as the rest of us. He just has been gifted with the ability to take his experience and relate it to other peoples life. If you are inclined to check it out he has his sermons on the church website lifequestdottv I am Old School and I'm Forgiven!!!

I'd like to reply to this. From what I have been taught, you can only sin against god. Masturbation I believe is not a sin against god because otherwise God wouldn't have made it feel so good. All the other taboos that have been associated with it were put in place by humans, not god. Perhaps they felt guilty about it because they enjoyed it too and through something that was very misguided thought that everyone else shouldn't enjoy a gift from god. There is a quote from Voltaire "God is a comedian playing to an audience that is afraid to laught." I think that there may be some truth to that.

Don't 7mthink you are going to change him anytime soon if he is rigid in his convictions. But if you are going to give it a try, let him know that one must look at the Bible and context and the times it was written. Humanity was struggling for existence during the old testament period and we aren't now. High infant/child morality, famine, war...etc. Every sperm counted back then. Hence, the Judiach law prohibiting the," spilling of one's seed upon the ground." Heck, if you were a guy and your brother died, you were supposed to marry your sister inlaw. Polygamy was ok. So was slave ownership. So if he is going to be a literalist, is he going to practice all this to? God encourages us to think, not blindly follow. We are given common sense and need to use it.

To clarify something (BEFORE anyone has a chance to slam me) My intent was NOT to take a "holier than thou" stance. I was just making a point based on the bible. I'm not saying I have never or will never masterbate or have sex outside of marriage. Are both a sin??? YES. Am I a sinner??? YES. Am I in a position to judge other people for what they do??? OH HECK NO!!! I am Old School and I am Forgiven!!!

Biblically speaking, he is correct. Any "impure thought" is a sin. Another frame of thought is it is a very selfish act. Intimacy was developed by God to be shared with your spouse (i.e.. after marriage) and any form of sexual act outside of marriage could also be considered a sin against God. So masturbation is certainly a sexual act outside of marriage. However, intimacy is not only addressed in the bible, but encouraged. (As long as it's within a marriage) What I personally believe is when anyone is "consumed" by ANY act, whether it be eating, masturbation, pornography, TV, Internet, or whatever, can be labeled a sin. But our God is a forgiving God and he also grants free will. He doesn't expect perfection from anyone other than his son, who dies for our sins on the cross. And when we do fall short of his glory, then all we have to do is ask for forgiveness and strength. Oh, and I'm not catholic nor am I a member of an organized religion. However, I am a Christ-follower and study his word and believe that through him all things are possible. I'm Old School and I'm Forgiven!!!!

As the old lady here, I will tell you, it's an important skill to have. You have to love yourself and know your body before you can be a good lover and partner. Everyready, Duracell, and the Bunny all love me.

Re: PADDYWADDY write: OK GUYS AND GIRLS HERE GOES...LOL A MAN FRIEND OF MINE THINKS MASTRBAISHUUUNNNN IS A SIN AGAINST GOD;S WILL ,

If your nose itched you would scratch it. it your nose were bunged up you would blow it. If you didn't blow it your nose may automatically sneeze, and cover everyone in the way of you are not quick enough. Same as masturbation. Scratch it, release it or it will do it itself. Had this at college and other young men's establishments. Many "religious" students would come up to me and ask me questions which their pastor refused to help or answer. Especially as they were taught to repress or deny their feelings. leaving them very confused and feling they were going straight to Hell coz they were wicked. I basically gave them a biology lesson about the build up and creation of sperm and the natural tension which needs release. OK most unused sperm just reverts its back, so no turning balls blue or men dying becasue they have not had realease. Its also a great way to explore your feelings and practice control. I explained it as a normal physiological build-up which needs release like sneezing, or going to the toilet. (Some asked me if I wanted to scratch their nose after lol) I respect and explain the nature of their extra viral boosting hormones which will make them want to have sex NOW!!! Because they are a man. But that it is their responsibility to take control of this. Like any other bodily function. Sexual tension contains a lot of focused feelings or tension, anger, frustration and disappointments that build up through the day. Sexual release releases these. Also i do believe that it is becasue Christian men have problems facing their natural sexuality and being honest that you get more deviancy and bad attitudes towards women. Many christian men associate sex with sin. So have a very dangerous attitude towards it. Which I would not get into bed with...
