What's your thoughts? Can it work? For instance,a 10-20 year age difference?

Re: embryo? deepinthesticks write: I'm a few months shy of 48, but lately this hot looking female embryo has been coming on to me. I've seen a few May/November couples before and always thought it was funny in a sad kind of way. I'd hate to think people saw us that way, but we seem so right. Any advice?

I soul searched and researched, and in my conclusion,NO,a 10-20 age difference doesn't work, and is unrealistic. Oh, there can be the fun,the infatuation, and the sex,(ya know, the attractive, amusing, sexy, experienced older woman thing)but, that will eventually fade. Someone younger, sexier, more attractive, more intriguing will come along, and the older woman, becomes just that, the older woman, whom he'd like to still be friends with? OUCH! Insult to injury is all that is. Her generation and her life's experiences, are no match to his. He was born in the more,or less, everything on a silver platter world. He has no concept as to what it means to need or want for anything. She was born in a dysfunctional world and had to fight, scratch, and claw her way through the battle grounds, make her own way, raise a child on her own,and was served everything on a cheap paper plate. They have some similarities, but,he is the the ID,and she is the EGO>>>SUPER EGO counterbalance>>>incompatibility. Sound complex? Not really. Freud conceived this concept. BTW: Dr. Seuss had a good grasp on it as well. And,because of my own personal experiences,it all makes perfect sense.

Sym, I find this blog ironic since I just came out of a older/younger relationship. I guess I didn't look at it as that...there was only 5 years difference...that didn't seem to be a problem to me unless it is 16 and 21! Apparently it was a huge issue for him. I think it is important to get those issues resolved early in the relationship and either get over it...or move on BEFORE someone gets hurt. I did.....and it is taking me time to recover because we were also best friends..... be careful ladies and gents....especially where feelings are involved.

I think it's entirely up to the two people involved. When I am hit on by friends of my son, I always tell them to go ask for his permission and it stops them dead in their tracks. lmaoooo

I don't think it really matters as long as the two of you don't have a problem with it. My oldest daughter said I can't be with someone closer to her age than mine. Guess that puts is at no more than ten years younger than me.

Re: Ok, ok. I have to admit. I was NEVER attracted to younger men physically. But in the last couple of years there have been a few that I have actually said, hmmm...if I were younger I would go for it. There, does that soften it Charlie?? BTW, how old are you?? :):):) CHARLIEBULL write: Re:Damn!! Treasure_TTT write: If it works and they are happy, go for it. But for me...nada, no way. I would feel like a pedophile with anyone under 45! I have always enjoyed older men. I just have more to discuss with them and...stuff.
