I decided to change my name also. I'm not going to tell what I changed it to, but I have changed it. So, the next time you see me post a comment you can say "Spyder changed his name but I don't know what to!". I'm really surprised that someone hasn't done this before. I'm feeling like a really clever guy right now.

So much of the time when I'm riding I always seem to have a song in my head that I'm trying to sing to myself. LOL, most of the time I can not remember the words. Lately it has been Gretchen Wilson's "Just one of the boys". More and more I see people riding with an I-POD stuck in both ears and I think what the Fu*k, What's the Fu*king point. Personal I enjoy the sound of my motorcycles and I enjoy the sound of me singing in my head. I wonder what I will do when I see an asshole riding his bike and on the cell phone at the same. Anyways, we had a nice thunder storm roll threw earlier this evening.

I'm really having a hard time with another member on this site right now and his name is Knucklefan. Have you seen his blogs lately? He have posted pictures of a flatside shovel and the pictures of his top-less twins has got this cowboy all stirred up. To be prefectly honest with you I Have Motor Envy!I sit in front of my AMF shovel and I say "Baby, can't you grow a nice big generator in front of you? Why do you have to have such a big cone, can't you be flat just for a day". I mean, life is just not fair! Anyways, Knuck, I just wanted to let you that I'm excited about your projects you got going on. I guess at our age when we can't get it up anymore, we get motor envy. Spyder

I'm afraid this blog has nothing to do with riding, so I first want to apologize for that. I got on the site tonight and was checking out the blogs and I tried to view 2 blogs but i was blocked from viewing because I was not that persons circle of friends. It happened to be the same person, warriorinjun. I have no idea who this person is, by the way my name is Spyder,. So, I thinking what I may have done to this person? So I don't have a clue. Well, went out and played with the shovel head for a while. So, I'm thinking to myself as I often do, why would you block a person from viewing your blog when the whole idea is to share with other people, at least in my case it is. Tales of the road kinda deal. Anyways I came back into the house to share with you all what I was thinking.

50 wieght part 14 57 Views 06/15/07
Tonight I was at a popular drive-in in St. Paul where alot of street rods and bikes hang out. I left and came back with some friends and we were sitting there watching all the cool stuff. Well, as I looked off to the west the clouds did not look good and I could smell the rain in the air. My friend has one of those fancy cell phones with radar on it and sure enough it was not going to be long. So, I said "Buddy, I'm buggin out", we hugged and of I went. Again, riding and staring at an on coming thunder and lightning storm is out of this world. The darkness, the light show, and the over whelming anxiety of thinking if I'm going to get dumped on. I had to throttle back on the shovel head because Ol' Painless was just wanting to pick up the pace. Just when I thought this is it, I hooked up with a westbound interstate and it was like I rode around the storm. I got home without a drop. I pour myself a cup of re-heated southern roasted pecan coffee and sat in the garage watching the storm roll in and smoked a cigarette thinking, as I often do, "What a nice night to ride".......

Well, I did it. I have been talking about putting a jockey shift on the shovelhead for sometime. So, the past fews days the shovel was down for the change. I went up to the local chop shop and they welded me up a shifter which was hangin me up and how I was going to get around the coil and primary. I have been ridin all morning and I have only killed the bike 4 times. I still haven't the feel in my foot the let the clutch out. I posted a picture of the shift knob but I don't think BK will let it stay up for very long. Well, I'm going to eat lunch and head out. I'm making Red Beans and Rice if anyone wants to come over.

50 weight part 10 235 Views 06/01/07
This week I have been in a funk since Memorial Day and haven't ridden much so last night I hopped on the bike at 10:30 and headed out. I knew some buddies hung out at a club called Ground Zero and Thursday nights is Bondage A-Go-Go so I stopped in to see them. Now picture this, I'm a country guy and I'm out there dancing to this heavy industrial music but I think I pulled it off. Then it happened, A full grown man was getting SPANKED, and the Dom she was laying into this guy and before I knew it she was pouring HOT wax on this kat, Man.. This kat is stripped down to his fruit of the looms, hog tyed up, and yelling his ass off. I started to think as I often do, "I wonder if I did that if I would be resolved of all my wrong doings?". I broke out into a sweat and said "Shit, I need a cigerette", by this time I even forgotten that I was in Vietnam. I finished my puff and went back and danced a little bit more and then went outside and put my leather jacket on, hopped back on the bike and took off into the night.

Well, it had to happen sooner or later. Sunday was out riding with some friends and we rode down alone the Mississippi River. The road had alot of grooves and cracks in it so the bike felt uneasy to begin with. I started to get that "Hula" feeling to it coming from the back tire. You know that feeling? Like holding on to a firm feelin woman? Ya, that good felling. Well I realized I was getting a flat tire so I got the bike slowed and pulled into a wayside rest. I pulled out a two and a half inch nail! I got HOG membership but I was 74 miles from the house so it would have cost me a arm and a leg to get it home. My buddy has AAA and he made the call and it ended up costing me nothing. I was the first flat tire I have had in 27 years of riding, so I can't complain. LOL, I had to work my butt off to make conversation with the flatbed driver! I got home, a friend called and wanted a ride, so I hopped on Painless (my shovelhead) and had a good day....

I have always liked riding at night, I know alot of people don't like it because the living road hazards come out. There are nice days I can sit home but when the darkness comes I'm on the chopper. LOL, I rode a little bit yesterday but it was a little chilly, but when darkness came I was out riding. I realized that it is like the night wraps around me like a protective shell. In the middle of winter I think about those humid nights when I'm still in a T-shirt at midnight. Spyder

Ok, it is time I get something off of my chest and it is concerning all the dudes on this site. It has become very clear to me that all of you are nothing but a bunch of Men. I don't care what you ride, if you are a high mile or low mile kinda guy. New school or old school, I don't even care what you put between your leggs. I could care less what you do for a living, clean shaven or full beard, it doesn't matter. I still think you are all a bunch of Men. So, there put that in your pipe and smoke it! Man, that felt good. If you do not like what I said, that is too bad, my opinion will not change. Oh Ya, one more thing, ride safe!!! Spyder

I was reading a little while ago about BadBats mishap with her bike today and it got me thinking something that has happened to me now 2 days in a row. I have hit the same really bad bump 2 days in a row. This bump is a shock breaker, a nut breaker, and one that bottomed the bike right on the frame. Now you would think that I would remember from one day to the next, but no, not me. When I hit it today it really got my attention, so I hope I'm not writing tomorrow night telling you I hit it 3 days in a row. Anyways, I just seen a grand slam home run a few minutes ago. Spyder

I hopped on the chopper this morning to avoid the problems are country is facing right now. I started to realize that for some reason the spring sun feels hot this year. it only got up to about 70 today but I could feel it burn on my face. It is also really dry right now so I find myself licking my lips a lot. Well, I don't need to tell you by the time I got home tonight I had a good case of chapped lips and my face glows in the dark. For you who do not know me, I'm a real thinker ok, so what do I do? I make pasta with red pepper in it. So I now have lips of fire and a glow in the dark face. And guess what? I'm doing it all over tomorrow. I just thought of something, I think I going to put some 50 weight on my lips. Spyder

Where do I start to talk about what has happened today. How do I express to a family, friend, or classmate how sad I feel? I was watching the TV this morning but had to turn it off, it just gets to be to much and I keep trying to tell myself this is not happening. I thought about the whole day riding. I just want to say if anyone on BK knows anybody or has tie's to VT, you have my support. Spyder

I sittin here waiting for the sun to warm the air just a little more and then I'm going to fire up the shovel and head out. I have to laugh at myself because if I was on the road I would not think twice about headin out right now. It must be the comforts of home. I get to drink left over coffee and hard cinnamon rolls.

Well, I finally got my case of 50 weight today. The problem now is it is snowing out, so I will hold off on changing the oil. But when I do I will use a harley t-shirt to wipe up what ever I spill. I don't know about the rest of you but I sure have collected the harley shirt over the years. I have to go thru them from time to time because I just don't wear them. Anyways, the blanket was made by a friend and gave it to me for a gift, pretty nice. Spyder

I read a nice piece earlier written by Deepsky and his blog on the Old Mine Road. It got me to think about a ride I took in 81 to Glacier, Yellowstone, Tetons, and back thru the Bighorns. It was the first time that I had seen a Bald Eagle in the wild. Also on that trip out by Jackson Hole I seen my first and only mountain lion in the wild. Pretty awsome stuff. Anyways, it is still below freezing here and it is starting to get old. I still haven't went to get a case of 50 weight. Spyder

I don't know if you do this but I try to keep maintance records on my bikes. It's getting to the point that when I make an adjustment or fix something I forget what I did. I also find that I write things down, but not in the same place. Of course I tell myself I'm going to remember. I finally organized so that I have a book on each bike, now I just have to remember to leave them in the garage where they will do some good. Anyways, as you can tell it is still below freezing here so I'm not out riding.
