I have a 2002 Fatboy and love it very much. Being a Softail it does not shake, rattle or vibrate at idle. It has rubber mounts that keep it very smooth. I can not understand why Harley does not make all their bikes this way.
No I never have had a problem with my solid wheels in the wind at any time. I have ridden it to North Carolina and thru the smokies and also to Parris Island South Carolina a few times. The negative wheel story has been spread around for years but I do not believe it has any real validity. A year or so ago Harley redesigned the wheels on the FatBoy by drilling quarter size holes to offset that tale.
My bike is all customized and chromed out. You can contact me atr
