We began the dark side when my ol man went for a Sunday ride one April and went head on into a car. Folks thought me to be crazy to climb upon my iron horse and ride with our child in tow. 3 short years later when I finally began to date, to have fallen in love once again, We were broad side by an off duty cop not paying attention. I was tossed 82 feet without my left leg, and my new Michael, well he lost his life. I refused to allow the world to judge me, to set the path they thought I should take. 10months after our crash, I climbed back on a FLH Classic converted into a trike. It was the best thing I could have done for my self and my child. Even though we have only a few months in the state of Maine to ride we manage to put on more than 7000 a season. I tell others never loose who you are, riding is part of who I am. the wind is part of my blood. thank you for the respect and the thoughts.

Yes so true.¿ My sis and her hubby were in a bike accident Aprl 07.¿ They were air lifted to U of Penn hospital in Phil.¿ Glad to say God was on their side that day.¿¿ Both doing well and are back on the bike.¿

Plenty of those about. Worked as a nurse and Case Manager for Head Injuries. Bikers outnumber everyone else. Litigation takes ages and is drawn out for the interestes of the lawyers. and then you get some judge who knows nothing about biking and makes a wrong prejudiced judgement. Blaming the biker even though the other guy pulled out on him.
