Before Justy jumps up and yells that there were no WMD's found... I completely agreed with Colin Powell when he stated, that it was true, we did not find any but that does not mean they are not there. And no Justy, I am not justifying the war. I am simply commenting on Falcon's post and stating my agreement with Colin Powell who really was the voice of sanity in all that mess.

WOW... the link to Saddam's use of WMDs...What WMDs? There were no WMDS in Iraq, or are you chatting about Saddam gassing the Kurds with the poison gas REAGAN sold to Saddam. And when was that? 1988? Is that your current justification for Bush?s illegal invasion and occupation of Iraq? And Saddam?s connection to Al Qaeda? Perhaps you missed the October 2005 CIA assessment that prior to the war Saddam's government "did not have a relationship, harbor or turn a blind eye toward" Al Qaeda operative Abu Musab al-Zarqawi or his associates. In fact Saddam view Al Qaeda as an enemy to his rule. Now Falcon guess who has destabilizing the region and is [daily] creating more terrorist against the US? Got a clue?

But i did read a report the other day that we were having success with the stronger offensive an that it must be remembered that there is an uprise in casualties because of teh current stronger offensive. i cannot remember it all but it said it was having more success capturing insurgent held stongholds in Basra and Bagdad. Also said that the iraqi people themselves are turning against the insurgents as they are running the cities like gangsters and the normal people are turning against them. But there is a worry that the democratically elected govt is too weak. But that is the trouble with democracy its never as good a Big Hard Bloody Bstd. Junie

The Iraq invasion's link to the war on terror was due to Saddam's use of wmd for genocide, his sponsorship of organized terrorist groups, and his continual threats against other countries in the area, which were destabilizing the region. The war on terrorism is also focused elsewhere, such as Afghanistan, Philippines, and Africa.

In addition, Outside of the extremists we do have good men on all sides. At work the manager is an offensive foul mouthed bully but who will rip off the patient and patient's family for more money if he can. he also has several women and treats them like sht. The female manager is also foul mouthed and is hard as nails. The younger males are very sexist and racist adn homphobic and openly support physical and sexual abuse of females and children and swap mobile images. Even the 18 year old is playing several young girls off each other but only refers to them as silly fcking whores and bitches. In comparison Shahid who is Muslim is decent, non swearing non foul mouthed and is a caring deputy manager. He has a lovely wife and three children who love him dearly. Last night the little girl phoned work to ask when her daddy was coming home as she did not want to go to bed without seeing him and telling him how much she loved him. Shahid spent several minutes on the phone reassuring her how much he loved her too. We have a lovely Asian Hindu couple Nirmal and Mimi who are very much in love and walk hand in hand to work and when they leave. They are very decent and very respectful and loving. Shahid looks after them and helps them as their English is not too good. Never hear a swear word or a m******fckr out of any of them. Compared to our foul mouthed, shouting screaming game playing direspectful of other's white English management i know who I prefer. PS I am in a Professional Caring Business looking after the needs of others. I also would never trust a Christian and would never go out with a Christian male if he was wrapped in gold leaf. There are decent people everywhere, but they are usually atheists, humanists, agnostics or those who have chosen to use their brain. Richard Dawkins has made a couple of films on the evil of religion and tonight he has done a film on the Death of Reason in our countries. Worth watching just to get your brain back.

L2R We did have martyrs and reading the history of religion many encouraged christian relgious people to self harm and mutilate and torture. Northern Ireland has just stopped and that was christian against christian supported by the churches. I do not think this is one religion against another. It is politics and it is the baser lower intelligence against stability and civilisation. There are many people in the middle ground who are educated intelligent and grounded. But these fanatics (and you can think of the MAD but popular Telly evangelists as wel) who are followed and supported by the mass unthinking blurbs. Everyone goes on about losing 3000+ American soldiers yet forget the Iraqi casualties including children run into 100,000s. I wonder what mad person persuaded the President it would ever be different. Ossama has not been caught but w have done more to recuit terrorists and insurgents than he could ever have done. We can never be higher moralists when we have so much blood on our hands. "Who can stand in front of God and not be struck down. Only he who has clean hands and a clean heart" Also if the only certain thing in life is that you are going to be shot or bombed to death and you have no opportunity to advance or improve yourself, why not make your death your choice and do something about those who have killed yours. Christianity is a history of barbarism same as any where else. God does not say you are Muslim or Christian Jew or Sikh. He say you are sinners and that does not change where ever you are. Lot of decent people working hard everywhere against this madness and extremism. Junie

There seems to be a rise in illegal Mexican spinach coming into the country. The CIA believes it to be some sort of cross pollination conspiracy where innocent spinach plants are being brain washed to believe they are organic when in fact they are chemically treated with a hydro polymer that inspires them to cross the border into the US disguised as lettuce. It seems to be a case of spinach in drag, etc etc sighned FOSFURYA

Re:OMG!! The NIE? LMAO!!! RK, I agree. The veterans who live through these wars, are the ones that really have the right to speak here. Yet the ones that survive the horrors (yes Justy, Hitler's horrors too) are often the most quiet. They probably just want to live their lives. justfurya write: As details of a new top-secret threat assessment begin leaking to the media through the usual intelligence community channels, President George Bush stands poised to ask Congress for more funding to boost the CIA?s ability to watch al-Qaeda grow. Yeah if Justy was as tactful as he was informed and left out the sheep comments he would reach more people. If that is his intent. But he comes across as a dick so its hard to give him 2 minutse of thought except to imagine what would happen to him if he made these sheep comments around the veterans from my club who did their duty in Nam.

L2R Put it in context. The stories of war and the need to kill the opposition are in both the Bible and the Quran. Both God commands wiping out whole tribes and killing women who have known a man but keeping all the women and female children to have and use as "spoils." Both tell believers to kill unbelievers is in a time when both the Jews and the Muslims were a small tribe or force against the odds and in barbaric times. The God of the Bible is just as Barbaric as the God of the Quran. In both God clearly tell the believer to kill all opposition. Anyone can read a passage and take it out of historical context. And Catholics Protestants and Muslims have been killing each other for centureis built on these books. The Word of God is not innocent or sweet or kind. But the Quran like teh Bible also exhorts to living in peace with others and respecting other's faiths and respecting that all 3 major faiths are all based on the God of Abraham Moses and Jesus. It depends who is reading it and how they are interpreting it. We have all murdered women and children in the name of God. All our hands are covered with blood. The Qur'an says, "Those who believe (in the Qur'an), and those who follow the Jewish (scriptures), and the Christians and the Sabians,- any who believe in Allah (God) and the Last Day, and work righteousness, shall have their reward with their Lord; on them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve." (Qur'an, 2:62) Qur'an also states, "Let there be no compulsion in religion: Truth stands out clear from Error: whoever rejects evil and believes in Allah hath grasped the most trustworthy hand-hold, that never breaks. And Allah heareth and knoweth all things." (Qur'an, 2:256) So no different from the Bible Our beliefs these days do not come from the Bible or Quran but from humanitarianism and the Age of Reason without which we would all still be barabarians. Re: Now Justy, don't start with me again. No one wants a war. Ever. So lets just put every leader that has ever put America into a war in the same light as Hitler. Hitler gathered people and starved them, did horrible experiments on them as if they were not human, immune to their pain and suffering, exterminated how many? Millions? In huge groups. Pulled them out of their homes, hung them in front of their familes and defiled their bodies. You know what he did. Ysgeye? Mick????? You talk about free speech??? If America didn't have free speech Justy and you would both be arrested for treason in some places in this world. Simply for saying Bush is another Hitler. Talk to the children of the survivors of Hitler. I think many of them would disagree with you. Don't get smug Justy. It is not attractive and it wins you no points. Again, you don't have to try and turn me from Bush, I am no fan. But I am no fanatic either. You are a trifle rabid in your hatred. You need some perspective. And..his term is almost up. Why not put your energies into who you would vote to replace him? Instead of hating him so much. We cannot undo what is done. You know he is not going to pull out of Iraq. No matter how much you hate him. So, put your energies into what changes you can make. Does that not make more sense? And again, into helping these people that you feel are being slaughtered. Into helping the troops and/or families. Get your hands dirty Justy. justyforya write: TTT Lets see.... Hitler illegally invaded countries Bush illegally invades Iraq.. Hitler tortured.. Re:cccharlie...man you took the words right outta my mouth, I just don't believe I could have said it as nicely. But one more thing one person wrote about how we can't secure our own borders heck we can't feed all our hungry or give health care to everyone in need or house our homeless but that don't stop us from sending clothes food and other neciseties to other countries and doing mission work to educate other countreies help them build schools, library's and give free dental and medical help...so whats wrong with helping secure their bourders??? We are the giving nation...even though we have sooo many going without right here. But thats they way life is. cccharlie write: In only two and half hours On 9/11 america lost over 3000 of her own, fathers, mothers, sons, daughters, bro and sisters none who carried a weapon of any kind to work with them that day, for that reason alone we are in this war. do i agree with everything our govt has done of course not they have and will make costly decisions. as which has happened in every war before.the only difference is the electronic age keeps more informed than ever before. i believe in free speech so here is mine i will stand behind the men and and women of our armed forces with prayer, support& graditude for what they are accomplishing so far away from there home. so i'll be damned before i see another america in shame like the vietnam war AMERICA MUST COMPLETE THE TASK AT HAND
