Just some Holiday wishes to those friendly faces and catchy names here on BK. Reflections of this past year on BK are numerous. I have made more friends than I would have thought.
I have also met a wonderful man on BK and we are pursuing possibilites. LDR's aren't easy but what relationship is. We just make sure to take time for "US". Date nites and all.
This New Year we will be ringing it in together, he will be traveling from Chicago to Austin.
We will watch the Bears and Saints game on Sunday.....that will surely be a test....LOL
THIS WAS SENT TO ME....NOT MY STORY...BUT SO SWEET
Our 14 year old dog, Abbey, died last month. The day after she died, my 4 year old daughter Meredith was crying and talking about how much she missed Abbey. She asked if we could write a letter to God so that when Abbey got to heaven, God would recognize her. I told her that I thought we could so she dictated these words:
Will you please take care of my dog? She died yesterday and is with you in heaven. I miss her very much. I am happy that you let me have her as my dog even though she got sick.
I hope you will play with her. She likes to play with balls and to swim. I am sending a picture of her so when you see her. You will know that she is my dog. I really miss her.
We put the letter in an envelope with a picture of Abbey and Meredith and addressed it to God/Heaven. We put our return address on it. Then Meredith pasted several stamps on the front of the envelope because she said it would take lots of stamps to get the letter all the way to heaven. That afternoon she dropped it into the letter box at the post office. A few days later, she asked if God had gotten the letter yet. I told her that I thought He had.
Yesterday, there was a package wrapped in gold paper on our front porch addressed, 'To Meredith , ' in an unfamiliar hand. Meredith opened it. Inside was a book by Mr. Rogers called, 'When a Pet Dies.' Taped to the inside front cover was the letter we had written to God in its opened envelope. On the opposite page was the picture of Abbey & Meredith and this note:
Abbey arrived safely in heaven.
Having the picture was a big help. I recognized Abbey right away.
Abbey isn't sick anymore. Her spirit is here with me just like it stays in your heart. Abbey loved being your dog. Since we don't need our bodies in heaven, I don't have any pockets to keep your picture in, so I am sending it back to you in this little book for you to keep and have something to remember Abbey by.
Thank you for the beautiful letter and thank your mother for helping you write it and sending it to me. What a wonderful mother you have. I picked her especially for you.
I send my blessings every day and remember that I love you very much.
By the way, I'm easy to find, I am wherever there is love.
I could tell you I'm this.
Even seal it with a kiss.
I can tell you I'm that.
Swear to it as fact.
I am a woman, that's for sure.
Just wanting a love that is pure.
Pay attention with bended ear.
Feel what i want you to hear.
High maintenance of nails and hair
Are not things to cause me despair.
Emotional heart strings that strike a cord.
Are things that might cause me discord.
My body bleeds and strikes a match.
This might lead us on an icy patch.
Know this is not about you.
Will always help us get right through.
At times I just need a connection.
Its never a lack of your affection.
These times my heart might bleed.
Causing my spirit to scream with need.
Sometimes you might not understand.
I just need you to take my hand.
This will forever discard my doubt.
Even though my lips may pout.
At times I will cry with no reason.
Might be just the change of season.
Tears not always stem from sorrow.
Tender love makes a better morrow.
Love this woman if you dare.
A fullfilling life for us to share.
No crystal ball revealed in sight.
Just promise to always kiss me goodnite.

The Woman's Poem
He didn't like the casserole
And he didn't like my cake.
He said my biscuits were too hard...
Not like his mother used to make.
I didn't perk the coffee right
He didn't like the stew,
I didn't mend his socks
The way his mother used to do.
I pondered for an answer
I was looking for a clue.
Then I turned around and smacked the sh ** out of him...
Like his mother used to do.
my friends and i were sitting around talking about guys and one of the girls said,
"Where are all the good ones."
her daughter(age 15), blurts out,..
"Mom, I've told you there are no Knights in Shining armour, just exterminators in green suits."
You hear the hope in my thoughts.
You hear the passion in my heart.
You hear the truth in my smile.
You hear the tears in my voice.
You hear the love in my words.
You touch me with your kindness.
You touch me with your softness.
You touch me with your words.
You touch me with your voice.
You touch me with your heart.
You listen to my past pains.
You listen to my desires.
You listen to my dreams.
You listen to my heart.
You listen to Me.
The ARMED FORCES positioned themselves in enemy territory.
Strategically awaiting the arrival of their target.
Much delight warmed them as it entered and aligned in their scope.
Smirk sweet satisfaction filling their black hearts.
Machine guns loaded with their ammo of choice.
High power cruelty with spiteful purpose easily fired.
Ovepowering their target as the riddle it with their betrayal.
The Sergeant at Arms and his Drunk Private finally implemented their revenge.
The Sergeant had posed as an ally, hiding true alliance with the alcoholic enemy.
Not the ARMED FORCES the target had honored and respected.
The uniform, Flag and duty had had its utmost support.
A yellow wooden ribbon proudly displayed, honoring the soldier gone to war.
The return reunited their true alliance to plan the battlefield.
Now known as "Cruelty and Destruction at the Alligator Swamp".
The attack has forced the removal of the symbol of respect and honor.
Now broken, symbolizing grief and pain in her memory of a man once known.
The target was a tough hearted warrior from the Louisiana territory.
A natural force empowered by survival instincts unknown to the alliance.
Their target was not considered important enough to spare this distruction.
However, the attackers couldn't overpower her survival instincts.
The warriors' will is strong and has overcome many past enemies.
Past battles have yet to destroy her inner spirit of strength.
The Sergeant had long forgotten the protective armor of his intended victim.
For SHE will always conquer the evils that present themselves in disguise.

Terri Hatcher/Desperate Housewives

This is a choice in how you decide to live. I have adopted this phylosophy into my life....What a blessing it can bring to you. One day you wake up and realize, "Dam, things are good."
A music note
Hear him sing of her pain,
Tears for what she wished to gain.
Lyrics reflective of her life,
Expressing the pain in her strife.
A lady's words but his voice,
As he sung it was his choice.
A song blessed from the heart,
Hoping for a brand new start.
Her story comes with despair,
Encompassed with thick smoky air.
Emotion sung with what is true
Memories of life she once knew.
The crowd listens on this night,
Prayer is song to her plight.
Let me see you oh dear Lord
Embrace me like my mothers cord.
Tears for love in her plight,
Wounded spirit tries to fight.
Her life story will come clear,
One must listen with open ear.
Another's pain written in song,
Listen as it was your wrong,
Man or woman you hear sing,
Let your heart hear the ring.

Net in hand chasing butterflies,
Each missed catch to her surprise.
Jeans and boots with golden curls,
Giggles and smiles with every twirl.
Shrilling shrieks fill her laughter,
Catching the one she's been after.
Her puppy yapping at her heels,
Free to play in the open fields.
Proudly watching from my swing,
A true blessing she does bring.
Conceived in love of another time,
We're now alone every nursery rhyme.
A gift to cherish from above,
Precious angel so filled with love.
Trusting me to make it okay,
My little one makes all that way.
I enjoy sharing quotes, poems and sayings with everyone. It is my wish that at the right moment the right person will need some inspiration to get through a rough time....so here a just a few.....

thank you all for reading..i look forward to posting more.
A couple had only been married for two weeks when the husband, although very much in love, couldn't wait to go out on the town and party with his old
So, he said to his new wife, "Honey, I'll be right back."
Where are you going, Coochy Coo?" asked the wife.
"I'm going to the bar, Pretty Face. I'm going to have a beer."
The wife said, "You want a beer, my love?" She opened the door to the
refrigerator and showed him 25 different kinds of beer, brands from 12
different countries, Germany, Holland, Japan, India, etc.
The husband didn't know what to do, and the only thing that he could think
of saying was, "Yes, Lollipop... but at the bar... you know... they have
frozen glasses. "
He didn't get to finish the sentence, because the wife interrupted him by
saying, "You want a frozen glass, Puppy Face?" She took a huge beer mug out of the freezer, so frozen that she was getting chills just holding it.
The husband, looking a bit pale, said, "Yes, Tootsie Roll, but at the bar
they have those hors d'oeuvres that are really delicious. I won't be long.
I'll be right back. I promise. OK?"
"You want hors d'oeuvres, Poochie Pooh?" She opened the oven and took out 5 dishes of different hors d'oeuvres, chicken wings, pigs in blankets,
mushroom caps, and pork strips.
"But my sweet honey... at the bar.... you know, there's swearing, dirty
words and all that."
"You want dirty words, Cutie Pie? "LISTEN UP SHIT HEAD! SIT YOUR SORRY ASS DOWN, SHUT THE HELL UP, DRINK YOUR BEER IN YOUR FROZEN MUG AND EAT YOUR FRIGGIN HORS D'OEUVRES BECAUSE YOUR MARRIED ASS ISN'T GOING TO ANY DAMNED BAR! THAT SHIT'S OVER WITH! GOT IT, JACKASS?"
And, they lived happily ever after. Isn't that a sweet story?
