This is almost as heated a discussion as Harley performance! Just because someone trailers their bike into Sturgis or Daytona does not mean they are a show-off or not a "real" biker. And no we are NOT going to discuss a "real" biker right now. It just may mean (as it does in my and my boyfriends) case that we are of the age that we cant spend the whole day riding like hell to get to a place only to be too tired to enjoy it. Once you get into your sixties it is still fun to ride but it is not as much fun to suffer. Just as in other aspects of my life (drinking), age has brought moderation to biking. When I was really young I used to ride a 125cc Rapido (remember those) back and forth from Cincinnati Ohio To Chicago. I didnt mind the sore tail bone because I was 19. NOW I am 59 and I DO mind a sore tail bone. So when all you guys get on your high horse about trailering just remember that I am saving my energy for other things.....;-)
Ladies (or gentlemen) don't kiss and tell...but I will say this~~I met someone here on BK...e-mailed a couple times...went out today for a ride. Did some riding, went to a couple shops, did some riding, stopped at a little cafe, more riding, then on to his house to grill some steaks and have a beer. What a fun way to spend a Sunday. Thanks Harley, I had a great time! ;~)
Well my profile says it all. I am slightly shy-until I get to know you. That's why I haven't introduced myself so far but after talking to a few of you I am ready to say "Hi, everybody!" I love this site, and have recieved some nice responses so far. Thanks for making me feel so welcome.
