Both! I really like taking friends for rides, even the long ones. I took my daughter 960 miles each way to the 100th anniversary. So I am looking for someone to ride with me.
But I am also happy to have someone ride along on their own. I have several female friends that ride their own and that's great. They're all good riders.

hey biker chick, it doesn't matter to me either way. as long as she likes to go along. i am looking for either a rider or someone with their own bike. it's getting lonely riding by myself. on another note i have read several comments from women about looks not being a big deal, so whats my problem then? 31 women have checked my profile and just one responded! whats up with that?

Depends on the trip. Around town it's nice to have the passenger. Trips it's hard to pack two people and gear on one bike. But we make do.... Hotel travels require much less gear than camping.

I would probably lean towards a woman that rides her own but there are a lot of advantages to her riding with you. Now that I think about it, it really doesn't matter. My ex-wife did ride at all. I really had no problem with that. We'd either trailer the bike to rallies or she'd drive the camping van. She didn't like riding but loved the life (was dropped at a young age and some scares are hard to get over). I just want a woman that understands my love to ride.....

I think it's really cool when a gal has her own bike. I respect the independence it takes for her to go get her own ride. If she wants one but can't afford her own yet, welcome aboard. Same for if she's more comfortable just being a passenger.

all depends... for real riding, the gal needs her own bike. Short distances and casual rides, on the back is OK.. if she don't weigh a ton, or her stupidity might cause a crash.

It doesn't matter as much as some think it does. If you can ride good, fine. If she prefers to ride with me, that's fine too. Just ride. Do it and don't talk it.

Riding one up is easier so on one hand its a practical thing for her to have her own bike.
It's also really nice to have her holding on to me from behind. Very sexy and a great way to learn trust with each other, but having her beside me works that way too, without the actual closeness.
Close if a great for new relatioship. Distance is not.
Men and woman are growing farther and farther apart so "if" it doesn't make it worse, than its good.
I don't want a woman that acts like a man. (Why would I???).If her bike makes her even more sexy, than yeah!
If not, it's dykes on bikes. Whatever. Don't flame me. It's just the way it is. I didn't make it up.
I can appreciate anyone who appreciates bikes but that sure as hell doesn't mean I am attracted to her beyond being just friendly.
