I would rather a woman ride her own, My FLH is too old to trust long distance these days, so I ride my Buell which is a solo bike. Ergo she must ride her own, and as long as she can ride well enough to be a safe lane partner, it works for me. -Longbeard-

I Know you asked this of the men .. but I would like to answer this too. I am one of those women who have ridden on the backs of bikes since I was 14 - and absolutely LOVED it and continue to love it. I never rode on the back of a bike in a resentment that I wasn't the one riding my own bike. What's bad about being ridden around with no responsi bility at all except looking at scenery and feeling the wind? I'm on a chariot for God's sake!! :) There is an attitude now I find from women (not men) that it's a "less than" thing to ride on the back and that everyone who rides on the back is just a wannabe - only someone that is waiting for that day that they get their own bike. Not so for everyone. I truly enjoy myself.... feeling free its so great..... I am going to get my own ride within the next couple of months (I had one 10 years ago briefly) but its not a do or die thing and also, it can't be compared to riding on the back. Its two so very differnet things. Its like two different sports. I love both. But I can't compare them to each other. I don't think most men care if the women rides or own or not. All I know, is even when I do have my own, I do also like to get on the back of the bike of the man I'm with. I'll never give that up no matter what Harley I own.

I think that having a female companion riding behind you is kinda intimate, however, I can't comment on riding side by side, never really had an opportunity....

I have seen your comments on alot of these blogs. Why no pic? Are you attached to someone or afraid show? I like a chick either way. The closeness when doubled up is always nice. But riding next to someone is also enjoyable.

I would have to say a woman that rides her own...I enjoy the ride more when I'm the only one on my bike. I also think it's better to share the road, meaning your not always the one that decides which way to go. -Desierto

I prefer a women that rides her own as long as she knows how to handle the bike. I think it is uncomfortable to ride 2 people on a bike but I will do it.
