Especially when older and stuck in your ways and him his and you love your space your way. better to live separately but come together weekends and midweek. Stay as long as you want when comfortable. You just have somewhere to go when you get sick of each other.

Also, I don't know if you have ever seen this. But seen men in a realtionship persuaded to give up/sell their home and furniture etc etc by the promise of moving in together. Only to be told after a few days or weeks thta it is not working and they need to move out. End up in some grotty flat with sticks of furniture.

Seen that happen a few times.

We are all adults and are OK being independent and living separately and in our own space.
