How you treat your date vs. How you treat your bike 214 Views 07/18/06
I am packing it up and heading to the beautiful northern part of Minnesota for a few days. As I get ready to roll, and will be away from this marvel of technology for a while, I stopped to look back on my first 10 days on BK. For the most part, experiences have been more than positive. I have met some nice, down to earth people, and even a wack-job thrown in the mix for excitement. While I really enjoy the blogs, I have to ask why there seems to be such a negative tone to the majority of them? Men bashing women....Women bashing men....Why? Haven't any of you learned by now that we are just going to have differences, conflicts and there are simply some things men and women will just never agree on? I have read over and over how ladies want men to treat them as the center of their world....What? Get over it! Who in their right mind would seriously want a man that is so dependant on them? Maybe a dog would be better suited for you "need to be wanted" types. On the flipside men....you can't seem to decide if you want a woman to worship you 24/7, or be at arm's length so you can pull her in only when you have the need. It's time to be fair to the ladies...If you're not looking to commit, say so! When it comes right down to it, we are all the same with a shared love for riding and meeting new people. Can it be that hard to keep your aspirations here that simple? Dating should be just like owning your bike: You invest yourself without compromise..... You keep the oil clean and the tank full....... You wash and wax and buff every square inch of it........ Your bike suits your needs, yet gives you those little extras you always wanted...... You know what you are willing to put into it each month, whether that means your money, time or energy..... You know that by fulfilling all your bikes needs, in turn you will be satisified as well...... Remember the first bike you feel in love with? Would it be your first pick today? My advice.....Ride them all...then decide......
