Being a "people watcher", I like to go to the bars on occasions... but I drink Coke while I'm there. It's expensive Coke, but I'm much more comfortable riding with caffine in my system than alcohol.

Bikes and booze are a bad mix but it won't change any time soon. Call it "lifestyle" or culture, whatever, but it goes along with what most think a biker is suppose to be. Just more image crap.
Last weekend I rode over 160 miles on a charity poker run and it wasn't until the last bar (5 total) and 95 degree heat that I earned the right to have one cold beer. Just one and it was oh so good, but just one. That's the trick. The last 20 miles were increadible.
There are bikers who don't drink and ride, it just takes some time to find 'em.
It still all about the ride, everything else is just extra.
