I can take it or leave it. I would not act like that because I know how to have 'just as much' FUN and he** raisin when I'm sober.....LOL's Really 'sorry' you've encountered that attitude bd... I love to have my Corona's and/or Land Shark beers while out dancing, HOWEVER, that is NOT a requirement and I'm fine either way.... There are those of us out here who won't act like that for a non-drinker....I for one! HUGZ Bran~;)

I don't drink, never acquired the taste I guess...I haven't run into it being a turn-off for women...but then I haven't run into many women..I lighten it up by saying that 'if you can get a glass or two of wine in me, I'll do anything you want..' And I don't mind other people drinking, if they get too loud or obnoxious I just walk away.. dch.

Maybe it is not that you don't drink but that many nondrinkers I have run into get really self righteous on those who still drink and then rag.. Sometimes it just their silent dissapproval that make things uncomfortable. OR when they go on a run and are with a group they have forgotten how to have fun sober..(maybe never learned)and just sit there like unhappy unsocial lumps. Not so much fun to be around....This could be the reason you feel the distance.. maybe not you at all just gals knowing some sober exalcoholics(alcoholics working on sobriety..however you say it...) aren't much fun to be out with for the aforementioned reasons. I am not inferring this is you...don't know you..just talking in general.

Would think that would be something they would look up to and respect. Especially as it can cause major problems in a relationship. Also more money to spend on bling. I like a drink and get merry but not drunk. You should respect yourself for that. I know I respect you for it. Sounds like a Profile PLUS to me. Junie

Hey I don't like drunks they get on my nerves...no one on this site has ever seen me drunk...I will have a few with dinner or out for the night...but owning a bar has shown me a side of drunks I hate, so I vowed never to let myself get out of control and blame it on I was drunk....Tom and I do not like to bar hop we enjoy ridding seeing the sights now to have dinner and relax with a drink at the end of the evening thats a different story...I have lots of friends that don't drink at all I like them we all get along fine.

bd...while I am a social drinker I have no problem with someone not drinking...it is a personal choice and we all have that right....I applaud you for your decision...and I am sure there are others out there who do to.

I have somewhat of the same problem so I certainly understand. I don't drink due to a work related schedule. Basically on call all the time in a profession where you absolutely have to be sober. I don't have alot of interest in hanging out in a bar. Its not that I don't drink or even occasionally like to drink. I just don't.
