About two weeks ago while riding to work,my clutch cable broke-just before entering the highway.I was able to get back to the house to get my truck.By the time I got on the highway,turns out there was a four car accident that took out all three lanes.Based on the time and how far the traffic was backed up,I figured that I definetly could have been involved in that accident.So I have to ask myself if this happened for a reason or was it coincidence.And if and what forces might have been involved.Was it a guardian angel? Was it God? Was it my deceased father? Aliens? Probaly not an alien.Im sure it wasnt that damn good luck email that I didnt forward to ten people. Makes one think...and wonder.
Twenty below wind chills! Ok,I know that I live in the midwest and that I should be used to this crap. But enough allready. Winter can end at any time now.Just because its called Ground-HOG Day doesnt mean that Im any closer to riding..Is it Spring yet?..Damn! And if it sounds like Im whining..I am!
OH YEAH..its that time of year again, Super Bowl. I have more reason to be excited this year, because my beloved Chicago Bears(30 mins away) are playing the Indianapolis Colts(two hours away). I know BK Nation is spread out across the country and the world for that matter, just wondering what everyone will be doing this Super Bowl Sunday. Going to watch the game or just dont care? Me, Ill be at the local drinking establishment,basking in the warm glow of a Bears victory.
So I guess this is where it starts, right? Mid forties,and the first thing to start going is the eyes.So my question is, whats next? Ive been dealing with lower back pain for as long as I can remember, so that doesnt count. Maybe some of you 50ish guys (or knowing ladies)can reasure me that I need not be concerned. I wear contacts for riding, but God forbid I take my date to a dark restaurant. Ill have to just point at something on the menu and hope for the best. I know, Im over reacting here, and some of you good folks are rolling your eyes at this, but tell me that I wont be needing 'that little blue pill' anytime soon.Ill be 45 in Dec...when is it really Ok to say "its hell to get old"? Just a thought..
